The brief operating instructions are intended to be a guide that will help you quickly understand your new washing machine. If the instructions are expanded, then it is inconvenient to read, and many users simply will not do it, but will begin to study their new Bosch Maxx at random, which can lead to problems. After thinking a little, we decided to release a shortened version of the instructions for the Bosch Max 5 washing machine, collecting in it all the most basic things and discarding the “water”. And this is what we got.
Install and connect
The Bosch Maxx 5 series washing machine requires secure installation on a reinforced surface. During the spin cycle, the washing machine can move due to strong vibration, so it is very important to set it level, and it is better to additionally secure the legs statically to fix the body.
Warning! The Bosch Maxx 5 washing machine is very heavy, so be careful when moving it from place to place.
After unpacking the machine, check if the case is damaged. If damage is discovered, you need to take measures to return the equipment to the store, do not even try to plug it into the network. If the case is intact and there are no complaints about the packaging, you can proceed with installation. Before moving the washing machine, make sure that everything is fine in the place where you will place it.
- The floor was reinforced. It is not necessary to level it perfectly, because there are twist-out legs at the base of the washing machine body, but it is still advisable.
- Outlets from the water supply and sewer pipes were organized. In addition, a special moisture-resistant material must be made washing machine socket.

On the back wall of the Bosch Maxx machine of the fifth model there are transport bolts, the purpose of which is to secure the drum while transporting the washing machine; they must be unscrewed. Next, we take a building level, place it on the lid of the machine and begin to unscrew its legs one by one until we manage to level it. The permissible deviation is no more than 2 degrees. After this, connect the drain hose to the sewer pipe. Here it is very important to provide a bend to the hose so that water stands in the elbow. It will not let foreign odors from the sewer into the machine. The optimal connection height is 60 cm.
At the next stage, we connect the inlet hose through a tee tap to the outlet of the water pipe, not forgetting to insulate the connections with a fuser. The diameter of the tee tap leads is standard, ¾ inches. Before screwing on the inlet hose, check that all rubber seals are in place.
Attention! Do not connect the washing machine to a water supply where the water pressure is very low. You can check this by opening the tap and counting the amount of water that flows out per minute (must be at least 8 l/min).
Lastly, connect the washing machine to the power supply. Before inserting the plug into the outlet, make sure that it is not exposed to water. In addition, the outlet must be fully operational.If in any doubt, contact an electrician. The main thing is that the outlet is grounded and can withstand the maximum load that a Bosch washing machine can create.
Understanding the powder receptacle
The washing machine of this brand has a standard powder receptacle with a classic rectangular shape. You can pull it out by pulling the handle all the way. A special stopper will not allow you to pull out the cuvette all the way. When you pull out the powder receptacle for the first time, you will see 3 compartments.
- Compartment No. 1 (when viewed from right to left) is marked with the Roman numeral “I”, so it is simply impossible to confuse it. It is designed for pre-washing, so you won't use it often.
- Compartment No. 2 (located in the middle) is marked with a flower design. Air conditioner, starch or rinse aid should be poured into this compartment.
- Compartment No. 3 (when viewed from right to left) is marked with the Roman numeral “II.” We will use this compartment most often. Powder for the main wash, Calgon, and stain remover are poured into it.
Pour powder into compartment No. 1 if the program includes pre-wash. In particular, pre-washing may be required when we wash very dirty cotton or blended laundry. Do not overdose on powder, conditioner, and especially bleach. This can damage not only the laundry, but also the washing machine (increased foaming from excess powder can damage the electronic module).
How to start washing?
After connecting a washing machine of this brand, do not rush to press the “on/off” button. First, check whether the tee tap is open and whether water is flowing into the tank of the machine by gravity. If everything is fine, perform the following manipulations.
- Turn on the machine by pressing the mentioned button.
- Close the hatch tightly.
- Add some powder to the main wash compartment of the powder receptacle and push the tray back in.
- Find the program selector on the control panel and use it to select the washing mode at 900WITH.
- Press the “start” button and wait until the wash finishes. As soon as the washing machine stops working, we can assume that the machine is ready for normal operation.
When starting up your Bosch washing machine for the first time, do not put laundry in the drum. The program must be implemented empty.
To wash the laundry, proceed in the same way as when you first started it, only add more powder and do not forget to sort the laundry before putting it in the machine. Having selected a program, press the “start” button and wait for the wash to finish. If during the washing process you need to reload the laundry, press “start” again, and then wait until one of the messages appears on the display. “Yes” will mean that additional loading is possible. Open the hatch and throw in the forgotten laundry. “No” means that additional loading is not possible. To continue washing, press “start” again.
During the implementation of the program, you can change it. To do this, press “start”, turn the mode selector to the desired position, and then press “start” again. The old program will be canceled, and the new one will start from the very beginning. If you mistakenly chose a high-temperature wash, then cancel it too, only instead of the new mode, select “rinse”, it will help cool the laundry and thereby minimize the negative consequences.
Care and safety: basic rules
It is necessary to take care of your Bosch washing machine, and then it will serve for a long time.After each wash, be sure to leave the hatch slightly open to allow air to enter. Otherwise, mold may form in the washer and create an unpleasant odor. You also need to leave the powder receptacle slightly open.
After finishing washing, wipe the cuff of the hatch, the internal surfaces of the drum, and the internal compartments of the powder cuvette with a cloth. It is also necessary to unscrew the garbage filter once every 4-5 washes and wash out the dirt that accumulates there during this time. Be especially careful when putting laundry into the machine, do not forget to check the pockets so that small objects do not fall into the drum and from there into the tank. When you are finished using the machine, be sure to close the tap.
For safety reasons, keep small children away from the washing machine. Don't overload the machine with too much laundry. Do not add too much detergent or rinse aid. If the machine refuses to wash after turning on and displays an error code, you should immediately contact an authorized service center.
