Quick wash on an Electrolux washing machine

Quick wash on an Electrolux washing machineAccelerated cycle is a popular mode on modern machines, found in almost every brand. The program is called differently, but the effect remains the same: washing lasts several times less, often up to 20-40 minutes. There is a similar option on Electrolux washing machines.

We suggest you figure out how the quick wash mode is activated in the Electrolux washing machine and how long it lasts. Let's look at possible problems with enabling the option and the rules for using it.

Can't activate option

First, let's figure out how to enable the quick wash option. There is often a complaint that selecting a program with the selector, pressing the accelerating button and starting the “Start” cycle does not lead to any action from the machine. Nothing happens - the washing machine “freezes” while waiting.

It’s not difficult to explain Electrolux’s expectant behavior. The fact is that the quick option is not compatible with all modes. So, you cannot speed up programs:

  • "Wool";
  • "Handwash";
  • "Blankets";
  • "Sport";
  • "5 shirts."

Electrolux has a large selection of programs The list of programs that allow cycle reduction is given in the factory instructions. The symbols and buttons are also deciphered here. As a rule, Electrolux does not accelerate only the 5 modes listed above. With the rest, “Cotton”, “Cotton Eco”, “Curtains”, “Delicate fabrics”, “Synthetics”, “Jeans”, quick wash works without problems.

Having figured out the compatibility, you can begin activation. The procedure is as follows:

  • load the machine and close the hatch;
  • select a mode compatible with acceleration;
  • press the quick wash button (dial icon with two checkmarks on the right);
  • wait until the corresponding indication lights up;
  • press “Start”.

When you activate the “Quick Wash” option on the Electrolux, you do not need to pause the program!

It is not recommended to wash heavily soiled items in the instant wash. The explanation is simple - the faster the cycle, the less time it takes to remove stains. It is better to use acceleration when you need to freshen up your clothes.

You should also reduce the weight of loaded items. When fully loaded, the machine will not have time to wash and rinse all the laundry, and the result may not please you with cleanliness. It is better not to rush and wash no more than 3 kg of cotton and 1.5 kg of synthetics, wool and silk at a time.

How does the fast program work?

In addition to the “Quick Wash” option, Electrolux machines also have a separate program of the same name. This is a full-fledged mode, the distinctive feature of which is its record-breaking short duration.

The accelerated program, like other modes, consists of three stages: the wash itself, rinsing and spinning. The difference is that the total duration of the cycle does not exceed half an hour - during this time the machine cleans, rinses, and spins. Some Electrolux models also offer a super-fast option, where clean laundry is delivered within 15 minutes.

On Electrolux, the quick wash symbols are standard - an image of a dial or timer.

Speed does not affect efficiency. The only thing is that the water will heat up to a maximum of 40 degrees, usually no more than 30. Practice shows that in 15-30 minutes the machine manages to wash an item no worse than a 1.5-2-hour “Cotton”. At the same time, the savings in time and money are obvious.

how the quick program worksAccelerated cycles, both mode and option, are more suitable for surface cleansing. Naturally, the machine will not remove strong stains in 15 minutes; even an hour-long “Cotton” cannot cope with them.However, without stubborn dirt, the laundry washes well, especially if you need to refresh it, remove the smell of sweat, or simply rinse it. Typically, a quick wash is turned on when loading everyday semi-clean items into the drum, for example, shirts, T-shirts, socks, blouses, jumpers and other underwear.

Experienced housewives manage to adapt quick washing to remove difficult stains. The instructions are:

  • soak the laundry for 15-20 minutes in a soap solution;
  • treat stains with laundry soap or optical stain remover;
  • lightly wring things out;
  • load the part into the drum;
  • add detergent;
  • start an accelerated cycle.

By soaking, the stains soften and are quickly removed from the fabric in 15-30 minutes. As a result, the time spent on washing is significantly saved: if you turn on the “Cotton” or “Synthetics” mode, it would take at least 1.5 hours. Let’s not forget about the lower consumption of electricity and water, which is quite significant given the prices for housing and communal services.

In what cases is it used?

Quick wash mode is not a panacea. Despite the understandable desire to wash all the laundry at an accelerated pace, this is strictly forbidden. It is worth considering that the program assumes intense rotation of the drum and low water temperature, which is not suitable for all things. Before activating the option, there are a few things to consider:

  • Sorting laundry by color and type of fabric is mandatory;
  • Heavily soiled laundry is washed after pre-soaking;
  • not used for washing old items and delicate fabrics;
  • It is useless to wash bedding and towels in cold water - at least 60 degrees is needed to remove germs;
  • helium powders are selected.

Delicate fabrics cannot be washed on an accelerated cycle!

Quick wash is convenient and economical.Especially if you just need to refresh things or “complete” manual cleaning.
