As you probably guessed, a delicate program is present in the arsenal of absolutely all Bosch washing machines. In addition, many models are even equipped with two types of gentle mode, only their names are not quite familiar. Look carefully at the user manual or directly at the washing machine panel, and you will probably see the following program names or some of them.

"Sensitive." On new models it is designated as a square with a plus inside. On older models, the mode is indicated by the image of a feather.
"Thin linen." On the panels of Bosch washing machines, the program is indicated by a pattern of a thin, silk-like dress or nightgown.
"Silk". On most models it is depicted as a butterfly.

All three algorithms are not just analogues of delicate washing, they actually represent a delicate mode, only they are called differently. What kind of things are these algorithms suitable for? As a rule, these are thin underwear, clothes made of silk or wool, as well as delicate synthetic fabrics. Other items, such as tulle, can also be washed perfectly using this program. Linen is washed in large quantities of low temperature water. The user can set the spin independently, but not higher than 800 rpm, or remove it altogether.

Important! The drum load during delicate washing does not exceed 1/3 of the total load volume.

To make washing as effective as possible, you should use the right detergents, abandoning dry powders in favor of gels. However, “Sensitive wash” on Bosch washing machines can sometimes come as a surprise. On some models, it involves heating up to 60 degrees and accelerating to 1200 rpm.

Characteristics of other SM Bosch algorithms

Cotton. Basic mode, indicated by the pattern of a white jacket. Maximum load 7 kg. In addition to the mode, you can enable the “SpeedPerfect” function, which will make the cycle shorter (suitable for lightly soiled items), then the load will be 4 kg. The spin is adjustable from “No spin” to 1200 rpm. The water temperature can be anything from “Wash in cold water” to 90 degrees.
Cotton Eco. Denoted as a lowercase stencil letter e. A washing program whose results are similar to those of the Cotton program, but achieved more economically by lowering the temperature. Spin within 400-1200 rpm.
Synthetics. Indicated by the image of a white jacket on hangers. Suitable for washing synthetic or mixed fibers. Maximum load 3 kg. Temperature up to 60 degrees.Spin 400-1200 rpm.
Mixed/Quick wash. Indicated either as arrows pointing to the right, or as a white jacket and pants. The parameters are the same as synthetic washing, only the load is 4 kg, not 3.
Wool. Particularly gentle washing to prevent fabric shrinkage. Indicated by a ball of wool. The maximum load is only 2 kg, the temperature does not exceed 40 degrees. The spin can be canceled, the maximum value is 800 rpm.
Rinsing. Designated as a container of water. Extra rinse with fully adjustable spin speed.
Spin/Drain. Indicated by a spiral/container with a downward arrow. Additional spin with adjustable speed. If you need to drain, you need to set the spin speed to 0.
Down jackets. Indicated by the image of a down jacket. Suitable for washing items with down and synthetic filling, including duvets and pillows. Maximum load 1 kg, temperature up to 60 degrees, spin speed from 400 to 1200.
Shirts/blouses. Designation: office shirt. Suitable for washing wrinkle-resistant shirts made from natural, synthetic and mixed fabrics. Maximum load 2 kg. Water temperature up to 60 degrees, spin speed from 400 to 800 revolutions.
Jeans/dark underwear. Designated as a dark turtleneck with hangers. Maximum load 2 kg. Temperature up to 40 degrees. Spin 400-1200 rpm.
Super 15/30. A very short program for washing small amounts of lightly soiled laundry. By default it lasts 30 minutes, when using the SpeedPerfect function it is reduced to 15 minutes. Maximum load 4/2 kg, respectively, temperature up to 40 degrees, spin 400-1200 rpm.
Sport shoes. Indicated by the image of sports shoes.Gentle wash in plenty of water for 1 pair of shoes. Temperature up to 40 degrees. Spin speed up to 800 rpm, can be removed.
