Modern Samsung washing machines have a filtration system. More precisely, we are talking about two filters that are located at different “ends” of the machine. Despite their excellent location and design, they perform the same function - they protect the washing machine from debris and other foreign objects. The following filters are installed in the machines:

• Jellied. It is located at the very “entrance” to the machine behind the inlet hose. It is necessary for the primary purification of water from impurities, scale, rust and small debris, which the central water supply system is “rich in”.
• Drain. Also called drainage and garbage, and unlike the filler, it is located at the “exit” of the machine. The “garbage bin” protects the pump and sewer hose from debris and foreign objects getting into the drum with things. For example, if coins or keys fall out of your pocket during washing, the filter stops them, preventing them from passing through the drain, blocking the impeller and damaging the pipes.

Most often, the “trash bin” needs cleaning. Determining the location of the drain pump filter is not difficult - just find the technical hatch door in the lower right part of the housing.All that remains is to pry the part with a flat screwdriver and unclip the latches. • the water drains very slowly;
• the drum does not empty at all;
• the machine stopped, but did not drain the water;

Another warning “symptom” is an unpleasant odor coming from the washing machine. Accumulated debris under the influence of detergent begins to rot and release the corresponding “aroma”. But it’s better not to delay until the last minute, but to clean the filters as planned.

Cleaning the garbage filter

Let us repeat that the garbage filter is “hidden” behind the technical hatch door. We unclip the latches, find the emergency drain tube and drain the remaining water in the machine. First place a rag, old newspapers or a container under the hole. Next we proceed like this.

1. Unscrew the screw holding the trash can.
2. We take the filter handle and rotate it counterclockwise.
