Removing and cleaning the powder receptacle

Now you can start cleaning. If the contamination is light and there is no thick deposit on the walls yet, it will be enough to simply wash the cuvette in warm water with a soft sponge. Then dry the powder receptacle and only then put it back in the washing machine.

You will have to tinker a little with powder receptacles that already have rust or limescale inside. In this case, a complete cleaning will be required. To begin, detach the front of the cuvette by pressing the latches along the edges (some Hayer washing machine trays are collapsible). Further:

• take a large saucepan (the powder container should fit freely into it);
• pour 5-7 liters of boiling water into it;
• add a glass of citric acid to the water;
• Mix everything well until the granules are completely dissolved;
• place the powder receiver in the resulting solution;
• leave the cuvette to “soak” for 30 minutes;
• Clean off any remaining dirt and plaque with a sponge;
• Rinse the dispenser under running warm water.

Citric acid will perfectly clean the Haier CMA powder receptacle, so there is no need to buy special expensive products. After finishing the procedure, dry the dispenser and put it back into the machine. To prevent dirt and deposits from accumulating in the cuvette, it is better to rinse it after each use of the washing machine.
