Looking for a compartment for rinse aid

You need to add rinse aid to ensure that no streaks remain on the washed dishes. These household chemicals can only work if the dishwasher Bosch uses it at the end of the work cycle during the rinsing phase of the dishes, and not at the beginning, during the washing itself. For this to happen, the rinse aid must be poured into a certain compartment of the dispenser.

In addition, the manufacturer recommends regularly checking the presence of salt in the dishwasher. The machine can operate without salt in the salt bin, but without it the ion exchanger responsible for softening hard tap water may fail. Changing this element is very expensive, so it is better to regularly add special salt to the bunker.

Capsule compartment

You should not add the capsule directly into the chamber on the bottom tray, because the capsule will immediately dissolve and the product will go down the drain without having time to do anything. Bosch dishwashers have a special compartment for capsules installed on the door of the washing chamber. It is worth placing the tablet exactly there - this will allow the product to dissolve at a certain stage of the working cycle.

The capsule compartment is easy to find, although it is located in different places in different PMM models. To identify the compartment, you need to decipher the icons located on the covers of the dispenser compartments. The pictogram for tablet products looks like five stripes simulating splashing water, and is usually applied to a rectangular compartment. You can also add various cleaning powders to it by opening the lid. To insert a tablet, you do not need to open the lid, because on the side of the compartment there is a separate recess for the capsule.

Should I remove the wrapper from the pill?

One of the main questions new users of Bosch dishwashers have is related to tablet wrapping. It’s not easy to answer, because many different household chemicals are sold on store shelves, some of which have a soluble shell, and some of which have an insoluble shell. If you bought a second type of detergent, the wrapper must be removed before using the tablet. You can determine the type of wrapper by its appearance - soluble, most often completely transparent, and also devoid of cuts and stripes for easy opening. Insoluble usually has the described properties, plus it consists of foil.

They can be used, and they can save a little on the family budget, but they contain too little salt to soften hard tap water. Therefore, if you live in an area with poor quality water, it is better to use special salt along with 3 in 1 tablets, regularly adding it to the salt compartment.
