Bosch washing machine service

Bosch washing machine serviceIt is necessary to take care of the automatic machine in a timely manner, then the equipment will last longer. If you do not follow the basic rules and recommendations of the manufacturer, it will work without complaints for only a couple of years. Afterwards, the device will certainly “delight” the user with a clogged drain system, the appearance of mold, scale, or a broken part. Servicing a Bosch washing machine involves several steps. Let's figure out what preventive measures must be applied in practice.

Superficial prevention

All housewives know that the washing machine must be left open so that it can “ventilate”. You should also wipe the hatch door glass, powder receptacle, cuff and drum surface dry. These measures are taken after each use of the machine.

Every few months the machine should be serviced more deeply. For surface prevention of the washing machine, you need to:

  • turn off the power to the equipment, disconnect it from communications;
  • remove the detergent dispenser. Wash it thoroughly in warm soapy water. If there is plaque or traces of mold on the walls of the tray, carry out more serious cleaning;
    clean the tray from mold
  • disconnect the inlet hose from the unit, remove the mesh filter, rinse under the tap to remove scale and debris;
  • clean the drain filter. It is located in the lower right corner of the car, behind a special panel. You should place a basin under the washing machine, cover the floor around it with dry rags, unscrew the plug, wait until the water drains from the system, remove the element and wash it. Debris and dirt should also be removed from the walls of the hole;
  • assess the condition of the drum cuff.The sealing rubber should be free of cracks, dirt and mold;
  • spin the drum manually. The container should rotate without problems, with slight tension. It is important not to hear any creaking or grinding noises during the process. If extraneous sounds are present, in-depth diagnostics of the machine will be required;
  • “unhook” the drain hose from the body, probe the tube and make sure there is no blockage inside.

If you periodically clean your washing machine and perform surface maintenance, the service life of the machine will increase.

All of the above steps can be easily done with your own hands. No special knowledge, tools or equipment is required.

Serious prevention

Sometimes a superficial diagnosis is not enough. If the washing machine The Bosch is noisy, buzzing or vibrates heavily when operating and will require an in-depth inspection of the equipment. You will have to disassemble the machine to assess the condition of the dampers, bearing assembly, and counterweights. The algorithm of actions will be as follows:

  • unplug the power cord of the machine from the outlet;
  • turn off the water supply tap, disconnect the drain and inlet hoses from the communications and the housing;
  • move the washing machine to the center of the room to have easy access to the side walls and back panel;
  • prepare 2-3 dry rags;remove the lid of the Bosch washing machine
  • remove the top cover; to do this, unscrew the pair of bolts that secure it;
  • Unscrew the screws holding the back wall of the case, move the panel to the side;
  • find counterweights. Inspect the concrete blocks, they should be free of cracks and chips. Press down on the stones to see how well the bolts are tightened. Having identified “loosening” of fastenings, strengthen them. If elements are damaged, replacement will be required;
  • check the tension of the drive belt.If the rubber band falls off, you can either replace it with a similar one, or wash, dry and treat the surface with pine rosin;
  • go down and check the shock absorbers. Dampers must be elastic. Treat the springs with graphite lubricant;
  • clean the heating element. To do this, disconnect the wiring from it, loosen the central nut and remove the heater. If it is covered with scale, soak the element in a vinegar solution until the plaque softens, then wash off the deposits with a toothbrush or hard sponge;
  • inspect the sensors and wires located on top. If any defects are obvious, replace the components;
  • feel the tubes leading from the dispenser to the tank, touch the fill valve. All elements must be intact and dry.

It is better to photograph the diagram for connecting the wires to the elements to avoid problems during further assembly.

Obvious “symptoms” of a malfunction will help you understand that it’s time to change the bearings. For example, a strong grinding sound during operation, drum play, rumble during spinning. It is enough to fully service the washing machine once every 1-2 years for it to work longer than the five to seven years measured by the manufacturer.
