Error E07 in Hansa washing machine

Error E07 in Hansa washing machineWhen error E07 in a Hansa washing machine prevents you from finishing the wash, don’t worry too much. As a rule, you can decipher the code and fix the problem quickly and without the involvement of professional technicians. Where to look for the source of the problem and how to repair equipment?

Code meaning

Washing machines from Hans display error E07 when the leakage protection system, called “Aquastop”, has detected a danger. But this does not mean that waste water has entered the pan, and the equipment is at risk of a short circuit. More often than not, the issue is not the actual leakage of the machine, but the displacement of the sensor after an intensive spin cycle.

Error E07 signals that the Aquastop leak protection has tripped.

But in isolated cases there really is a leak. When water enters the pan, the float-sensor begins to rise, which triggers the Aquastop and displays code E07 on the unit screen. To correct the situation and continue using the washing machine, you should drain the water and return the device to its original position. To do this, you will have to check the bottom of the machine and inspect the meter.

Checking the pallet

You can cope with the diagnosis yourself, the main thing is to carefully prepare for work. First, we provide free access to the washing machine. Most often, Hansa appliances are built-in and installed under a countertop, sink, cabinet or kitchen unit. Therefore, we disconnect the machine from communications, move it out of the box into the middle of the room and cover the space around the unit with old rags. If there is a leak, then water will pour out of the bottom, and you need to be prepared.float sensor in the pan of the machine

It is not difficult to get to the pan and check it for dryness.You just need to unscrew the side walls or remove the lower front panel of the machine, and then look under the bottom of the machine. When water is noticed inside, you will have to completely disassemble the machine and look for the breakdown that led to the leak. If there are no traces of leaks, then the float has shifted and the closed contact gives a false signal. You can return the sensor to its place as follows:

  • take a screwdriver with a long tip;
  • insert it into the gap between the machine body and the pallet;
  • lower the float into place;
  • return the previously removed front panel or screw the side walls.

But such repairs will not solve the problem forever. The next intensive spin will easily dislodge the float from its seat, and the system will again display error E07. Some people recommend getting rid of the problem by breaking off the sensor, but such a maneuver will make Aquastop useless in the event of a real leak. You can't take that risk!

A damaged float will not be able to detect a real leak, and water from the machine will pour onto the floor.

What could cause the machine to leak?

If water has already accumulated in the tray, you will have to stop washing for a long time and start diagnosing the parts. Several faults can lead to a leak at once. Thus, a leak occurs in a leaky tank wall, in torn tubes and pipes, in a loose pump and volute, as well as in any violation of the sealing of joints. The dispenser and all drain and inlet hoses are also at risk. You need to check every possible problem. Leaks occur for several reasons:

  • household appliances were operated incorrectly, the basic rules, room conditions, installation nuances and recommendations for caring for the machine are prescribed in the instructions;
  • low-quality or unsuitable detergents were used when washing;
  • there was a manufacturing defect during the manufacture of the machine gun;
  • The washer part broke.

If the washing machine is under warranty, then it is better to call a specialist without starting repairs yourself.

To identify the root cause, you need to disconnect the machine from communications and begin sequential diagnostics. It is prohibited to use a machine with error E07.

    The next intensive spin will easily dislodge the float from its seat, and the system will again display error E07. How to make the machine start washing?

    • Gravatar Sergey Sergey:

      Unscrew 2 self-tapping screws, remove the socket, if there is water in the pan, then remove the water and tap lightly on the sensor. Install the panel and you're done.

    Thank you very much for the article! It gave an error. I opened the pan, there was no water. I was looking for the reason for a long time until I read an article about the sensor. The sensor was pulled out, inserted and the problem was solved!
