The main reasons for the appearance of the E60

The main cause of the E60 fault code on Electrolux does not occur in the machine itself, but outside it. And a burnt out or overly sensitive interference filter is to blame for this. The first one rarely happens. As soon as the device detects a sharp drop or increase in voltage in the electrical network, a danger signal is transmitted to the control board and, for safety reasons, the system pauses the operation of the machine. Sometimes even high-quality stabilizer – the device still detects current fluctuations and turns on the protective mode.

The reason for error E60 often lies in a sensitive interference filter.

There is only one solution to the problem - to abandon sensitive Electroluxes and purchase an automatic machine for your dacha or cottage that does not respond to power surges. There is no other option yet, because the manufacturer does not meet the Russians halfway and does not adjust the interference filter to Russian realities. Moreover, it is impossible to rebuild the machine even by independently changing the factory parameters, since the company does not supply the appropriate software and does not provide auxiliary instructions.

How to test the interference filter?

When the display shows error E60, the first thing we do is check the noise filter. To do this, you will need to find it, test it, and, if necessary, replace it with a working analogue. Perhaps it burned out, and without its “help” the system will not be able to start a new cycle. To diagnose the filter, you must:problem with noise filter

  • disconnect the machine from power supply, water supply and sewerage;
  • remove the top cover of the washing machine;
  • find the hole through which the network wire passes;
  • find a noise filter - a small part in a white or black plastic case that looks like a battery;
  • remove the part by disconnecting the connector.

Taking the filter in your hands, you need to carefully inspect it for traces of burning. In 98%, burnt contacts and an unpleasant odor indicate a faulty part. When the “symptoms” are present, the situation can be corrected by replacing the device without additional checks. If the “battery” is visually intact, you should use a multimeter and check the part using the following algorithm:

  • set up the tester for ringing mode;
  • apply the probes to the contacts of the capacitor;
  • We measure the voltage at the input and output. If in the second case the device does not indicate the presence of current, then the filter needs to be replaced.

It will not be possible to repair a burnt-out interference filter; only replacing the semiconductor will help bring the machine back to life.

If the filter is burnt out, there is no need to repair the washing machine - even a novice technician can easily remove the faulty part and install a new one. You just need to choose the right replacement semiconductor. A win-win option would be to use the dismantled “battery” as a sample for a sales assistant in a store.
