Resetting the Hansa washing machine

If you reboot your Hansa washing machine in a timely manner, this will help to avoid many errors that the device may produce during short-term failures that are not related to a breakdown. For example, during the main cycle or before the start of the “Spin” program, the equipment freezes and stops functioning until it is restarted. Reset and restart

Before performing a complete reset of software settings, you need to make sure that other, less radical actions have not brought any results. If the washing machine freezes on any washing cycle, then you should initially reset the set parameters and restart the equipment. To do this, follow the following procedure:

• press the “Start” button and hold it in this position for 10 seconds until the cycle stops;
• For older models, additionally move the selector switch to the neutral position.

If the actions are performed correctly, the indicators on the control panel will light up green and immediately go out. If this does not happen, then most likely the actions were not performed accurately or the device is faulty. But you can use another option and perform a complete reboot of the equipment. For this:

• turn the knob to set the washing programs to the neutral position;
• press the “Start/Stop” button for 5 seconds;
• pull out the power cord from the washing machine and leave it in this position for 20 minutes;
• After the time has passed, reconnect the washing machine to the power supply and start a new wash cycle.

In certain situations, Hansa may not respond to button presses or knob turns. Then it is better to completely disconnect the device from the power supply. But remember that such actions can lead to failure of the control unit.

There are often situations when people leave valuables in their pockets, for example, documents, car keys, a phone, and the wash cycle has already started. If you don’t immediately stop the washing machine program and get the item out, then most likely you can forget about it. In this situation, there is no need to reboot the equipment; it is enough to stop the cycle, drain the water and remove the hatch lock.

All actions must be performed quickly, because the sooner the item is removed from the washing machine, the greater the chance that it will remain in working order or undamaged. To do this, you need to perform the following algorithm of actions:

• interrupt the cycle by pressing the “Stop” button;
• move the program setting knob to the neutral position;
• start the water drain cycle;
• wait until the water is completely drained from the drum.

Important! When starting the water drain cycle, it is strictly forbidden to start the “Spin” program, even at minimum speed.

When the drum is out of water, the washer hatch will unlock. If you cannot drain the water using the method described above, then use draining through a garbage filter. To do this, place rags under the equipment and place a container to collect water, open the valve on the front panel on the right side in the lower corner.

Restarting the machine is necessary when the program malfunctions or there is a power outage in the apartment.
