Choosing the right drive belt for a washing machine can be difficult. The fact is that after a break, the part may just remain a rubber fragment with rags, on which there will be no information. Such a damaged item will also not be suitable as a sample for purchasing a new product in a store. The best option is to find a belt based on the model of your washing machine, but it is important to remember some nuances.

Features of choosing a belt

One of the most important criteria is the length of the belt. If you choose one that is too short or long, it will jump off when the machine is running or even break. The type of profile used is also taken into account. For example, J will not fit in any way on a motor that requires H.

The number of wedges does not play a decisive role. The same models with identical article numbers, but differing in the numerical value next to the letter (H5 and H6, J2 and J3) are interchangeable. The more wedges a belt has, the less likely it is to slip.

If the belt is worn out or torn in a Bosch machine, and it is not possible to read the data specified by the manufacturer, most likely a new part 1192 J3 will do. All Samsung devices have straps of the same length (1270 J). Narrow machines have 3 profiles, medium and wide ones have 5.
