How to properly use a Gorenje washing machine with a water tank

A Gorenje washing machine with a tank is a real lifesaver for homes not connected to a centralized water supply. However, such household appliances require increased care: you should use a washing machine with a water tank more carefully and carefully. It is important not only to fill it with water, but also to prepare the liquid in a special way. There are other nuances of using the unit that its owners should know.

Preparing water for washing

The Gorenje washing machine with a water tank operates in almost completely autonomous mode. Before starting it, the required amount of water is poured into the tank - approximately 30-40 liters, it all depends on the volume of the tank. There are certain requirements for the quality of water: it should not contain debris and insects, which can subsequently get into the internal components of household appliances and cause their breakdown. Therefore, purified or settled water should be poured into the container, and when using river or lake water, it must first be filtered.

The tank itself is equipped with a filter, but it is capable of catching only large particles of debris, so the owner of the household appliance will have to take care of the purity of the water. To fill the water, open the lid of the tank and fill it with liquid to the indicated mark. After closing the lid, the washing machine is ready for washing.

Loading detergent

Each model of household appliances has an instruction manual, which contains step-by-step instructions on how to use the device.However, there are still housewives who load washing powder not into a special tray, but directly into the drum of the washing machine. • main wash – load of dry or liquid washing powder, it is marked with the symbols “B” or “II”;
• pre-wash – intended for dry powder or gel, it is marked “A” or “I”;
• fabric softener - the smallest compartment where fabric softener is poured is marked with a symbol in the form of a flower or an asterisk.

The compartment for the main wash is most often used, the remaining compartments are in demand from time to time.

All additional products are also loaded into the main wash compartment:

• stain remover;
• bleach;
• anti-scale agents.

It is very important not to mix up the compartments, because incorrect loading of laundry detergents can cause undesirable consequences for things and the operation of the household appliance itself.

Program settings and laundry storage

The programmer on the Gorenje washing machine is quite simple and understandable, so the housewife will not have any problems with selecting the desired washing mode. The program switch knob is rotated clockwise to the desired mark, after which the “Start/Stop” button is pressed. Before starting the program, you can make changes to the temperature and spin parameters.

Loading laundry into the drum is one of the important and responsible stages of washing. The correct arrangement of things allows you not only to obtain a high-quality result of cleaning them, but also to significantly extend the life of the household appliance.

To do this, you must follow a number of rules. First, sort things by fabric type, color and degree of soiling. All types of delicate fabrics: silk, linen, synthetics - must be washed separately from each other. If things have old, strong or deep stains, you should choose the following modes: intensive, pre-wash or soak. Everyday items that just need a refresh can be washed on the daily or quick program.

Before placing clothes in the drum, you should check all pockets and remove items from them so that they do not spoil themselves and/or damage the household appliance. It is also better to unfasten all removable parts and clean them manually. It is recommended to keep all fasteners closed, and turn outerwear, knitted and terry items inside out. This will allow them not to deteriorate when washed and not lose their original appearance.

Let's start washing

After placing items in the Gorenje washing machine, close the drum hatch and powder receptacle tightly. Make sure the tank is filled with water to the appropriate level. The programmer knob should be set to the desired position and the household appliance should be started with the “Start/Stop” button.

The equipment will start working. The washing machine will operate in autonomous mode; there is no need to control it. When the cycle ends, the equipment will indicate this with a sound signal.

There is no need to worry that the water will run out - the volume of the tank is designed for at least one cycle of operation, regardless of the selected mode.

Upon completion of work, the hatch will be locked for 1-2 minutes. Afterwards, the drum can be opened and clean items taken out. It is recommended to leave the hatch and powder receptacle open to dry the internal components of the equipment and prevent the development of fungus in them.
