Ariston dishwasher does not fill with water

Ariston dishwasher does not fill with waterMost dishwasher owners are sure that it is impossible to repair large household appliances with their own hands. In fact, you can deal with many PMM breakdowns yourself without calling a specialist. So, if your Ariston dishwasher does not fill with water, do not rush to call the service center. The absence of a set is not always a sign of a serious problem. We'll tell you how to repair your “home assistant.”

What could have happened to PMM Ariston?

First you need to find the reason why the machine cannot draw water. In some cases, the dishwasher itself helps with this. Modern PMM models Ariston performs self-diagnosis and displays the detected fault code on the display.

The user will only have to decipher the code. A description of each error is in the equipment instructions. After this, the range of possible breakdowns will narrow down.

Often water does not go into the dishwasher for trivial reasons. It is quite easy to identify them. We are talking about situations when:

  • there is no water in the pipes or the pressure is very weak. You can find out if this is true by opening the kitchen tap;
  • the shut-off valve in front of the tee to which the PMM inlet hose is connected is closed;
  • The dishwasher door is not fully closed. Until the blocker is activated, the machine will not start drawing water;
  • The inlet hose is pinched or kinked.maybe there is no water

Sometimes we are talking about more serious problems. Many of them can also be eliminated at home. The dishwasher may not fill with water due to:

  • clogged flow filter;
  • clogged coarse filter;
  • activation of the Aquastop system (the protective module is activated when a leak is detected);
  • breakdown of the PMM door locking device. In this case, the control unit does not receive a signal about the tightness of the system, so the “brain” does not give a command to collect liquid;
  • failure of the intake valve (perhaps it is clogged with debris or damaged due to water hammer in the system);
  • a damaged pressure switch (in this situation, the level sensor reports that the tank is empty, water is collected and immediately drained into the sewer, but the cycle does not start);
  • faulty electronic control unit.

You can clean the PMM filters, replace the pressure switch, inlet valve or blocker yourself, without contacting a service center.

Of course, if the dishwasher is new and under warranty, you should not disassemble it yourself. In this case, diagnostics and repairs will be free, so it is better to entrust the work to specialists. When you no longer have the right to service, you can try to repair the PMM yourself.

Filter in front of inlet valve

Tap water in most Russian regions cannot be called clean. It contains various impurities, including sand and other solid fractions. The mesh filter protects the dishwasher from this debris.

Over time, the filter becomes clogged. It needs to be cleaned at least once a year. To wash the filter element, you must:intake valve mesh PMM

  • turn off the power to the machine;
  • close the shut-off valve responsible for supplying water to the PMM;
  • disconnect the inlet hose and drain the liquid from it;
  • take out the filter and clean it with a brush;
  • put the parts in place.

Installing an additional filter in front of the machine's inlet hose will provide even greater protection for equipment from debris contained in tap water. The flow filter element also needs to be cleaned periodically.

Leak protection sensor activated

Almost all modern dishwashers have the Aquastop option. Fault code A01 (F01), displayed on the PMM screen Ariston, indicates a leak. This error appears when water collects in the dishwasher tray. This can happen due to ruptured hoses, depressurization of the working chamber, a crack formed, etc.float sensor in the pan of the machine

What to do in such a situation? You need to turn off the power to the machine and determine the source of the leak. The decision on further actions is made based on the data received. It may be necessary to replace the pipes or sealing rubber.

It happens that the fuse in the inlet hose trips, but there is no leak in the dishwasher. In such a situation, replacing the inlet tube will help.

Lock failure

It is very easy to understand that the lock is not working. You should hear a click when the dishwasher door closes. If it is not there, you will have to change the blocker. This is done as follows:

  • de-energize the PMM;
  • open the dishwasher door, unscrew the bolts securing the front panel (or facade);
  • disconnect the wiring from the lock;open the PMM door
  • Unscrew the screws holding the blocker;
  • remove the device and secure a new lock in place.

Sometimes the locking device gets stuck, and you cannot open the dishwasher door yourself. In this case, it is recommended to call a specialist so as not to damage the lock and the sash itself.

Filling valve PMM Ariston

Often the reason for the lack of water intake is a damaged solenoid valve. The element is located at the top of the machine, at the connection point of the inlet hose. The inlet device can withstand pressure up to 1 MPa, but due to water hammer, the pressure can increase significantly. This leads to part failure.

Also, the intake valve may stop functioning due to an open circuit. You will have to check the wiring and contacts of the device. By restoring the connection between the solenoid valve and the electronic control unit, it will be possible to return the dishwasher to functionality.disassemble the valve

Sometimes the device becomes clogged with debris, and cleaning the element helps eliminate the problem. In this case, it is necessary to dismantle the valve and rinse it under running warm water.

Another possible breakdown is a break in the solenoid valve coil. In such a situation, repairing the part will be impractical. It is recommended to purchase and install a new intake device.

Experts do not recommend repairing the filling valve - it is easier and more reliable to buy and install a new part.

Liquid level sensor

The pressure switch determines how much water has entered the working chamber and transmits this information to the computer. A broken sensor may indicate that the bin is empty. In this case, the liquid is poured into the system and immediately pumped into the sewer. The cycle does not begin.dishwasher pressure switch

Fixing the problem is easy. You need to buy a new water level sensor and install it in place of the old one. Where exactly the pressure switch is located on your Ariston model can be found in the equipment instructions.
