Manufacturers of washing machines make life easier for people by producing machines with a pre-installed set of programs. With built-in algorithms it is easier to select a cycle, especially for everyday items - kitchen napkins and bath towels. They need to not only be saved from difficult stains, but also restored to their softness and freshness. A special “bath” cycle is rare; more often you need to select a mode for washing a towel in an LG washing machine from the available ones. Let's consider all cleaning options, as well as secrets for caring for towels and napkins.

The algorithm is selected based on the fabric of the towels

There is no single mode for washing towels. The explanation is simple: kitchen and bath linens are made from different fabrics and therefore require different care. It is the type and color of the fabric base that you need to take into account when choosing the cycle parameters: degree of heating, spin intensity and cleaning duration.

To clean most bath towels - terry, bamboo and velor - gentle washing is considered optimal: in cold water up to 30-40 degrees and with a minimum spin cycle of 600-800 rpm. Similar parameters are set when loading modal into the drum. If you are washing a product made of cotton, linen or microfiber, then the water can be heated to 60 degrees. When there is no time to go to the store for stain remover, there is a third option - folk recipes. So, stains are removed from waffle or terry cloth using available ingredients, soaking or boiling. The simplest method is considered to be using vegetable oil. The instructions are as follows:

• boil water;
• fill a basin with boiling water;
• dissolve half a glass of soda, a tablespoon of powder, 50 ml of oil and bleach in water;
• dip a soiled towel into the solution;
• After cooling, remove the fabric and rinse thoroughly;
• wash in a washing machine;
• dry.

For the more advanced, there is a microwave cleaning method. It is necessary to wet the towel and soap it with laundry soap, and “walk” over the contaminated areas with dish gel and soda. Afterwards, we place the soapy cloth in polyethylene and, without tying it, put it in the oven for 90 seconds at a power of 450-500. The product should heat up; if this does not happen, the procedure is repeated. Then we wash it in the machine or rinse it by hand.

The third option is boiling. The sequence of actions is as follows:

• boil water in a large saucepan and leave on the stove;
• add soap, soda, silicate glue, peroxide and ammonia to the water;
• dip the towel into the boiling solution and “cook” them for about 15 minutes;
• remove, transfer to a bowl of clean cold water;
• After rinsing, dry.

It is forbidden to boil colored towels - otherwise the fabric will fade or fade!

A paste of boiling water and mustard also works well on stains. The resulting mass is applied to stubborn dirt, and the napkin is placed in polyethylene overnight. Afterwards, rinse and dry.

Softening fabric of towels

Over time, towels lose their original softness. The cause is hard water, low-quality powders, improper care, frequent boiling and ironing. All this damages the fibers, and the terry surface becomes hard.

To soften the fabric you need to:
