Indesit dishwasher programs Indesit is an Italian manufacturer of household appliances, and their products are very popular in Europe, including in Russia. Their equipment is quite budget-friendly, but at the same time very high quality, and dishwashers are no exception. The washing modes of the Indesit dishwasher, when used correctly, can wash dishes of any degree of soiling. So it makes sense to carefully read the programs.

Characteristics of the main modes

In the instructions, the manufacturer warns that the number and types of programs depend on the specific model of the Indesit dishwasher, and information specifically about your machine can be found in the user manual. We will look at the characteristics of all the main modes, including recommendations for use and other nuances.

Washing program “Normal”. The name speaks for itself: this mode is intended for basic daily washing. Cleans moderately soiled dishes. The program lasts 1 hour 50 minutes. Sharing with drying modes is acceptable. For this program, manufacturers recommend placing 21 grams or ml of powder or gel in the main product compartment (A) and 4 g or ml in the pre-wash compartment (B). If you use tablets, 1 piece is enough (compartment A).
"Intensive" washing program. Used when the dishes are very dirty. This mode is strictly contraindicated for delicate dishes. The program lasts 2 hours 25 minutes and interacts with the drying programs. Detergent is placed only in the main detergent compartment in an amount of 25 g/ml; if you use tablets, 1 piece is enough.
Pre-rinse program. This program is implemented by the user at will. It only lasts 8 minutes and requires no detergent. It is not possible to run a drying program at the same time. Manufacturers recommend using this mode as a waiting mode for the dishwasher to be fully loaded.
Eco mode. Some call this mode “environmentally friendly”, others – “economical”. In fact, both are true. The program lasts as much as 3 hours, but washes any type of dishes with low energy consumption. The program can be used with drying programs. Detergents in an amount of 25 g/ml or 1 tablet are placed in compartment A.
Express wash. Due to its short duration of 35 minutes, this mode uses less detergent, less water and less electricity than all others. It is a good choice if you want to wash a small amount of not very dirty dishes immediately after eating. Recommended detergent dose: 21 g/ml or 1 tablet in the main compartment. Recommended set of dishes: 2 plates, 2 glasses, 1 small saucepan, 1 small frying pan and 4 cutlery.

Attention! To make dosing detergent easier, remember that 1 tablespoon is 15 g/ml of detergent, and 1 teaspoon is 5 g/ml.

Recommendations for the use of PMM Indesit

Now that you have carefully read the descriptions of the Indesit dishwasher programs, you can proceed directly to loading and operating the PMM. To do this, follow a series of simple steps.

Connect the car to all communications, open access to water.
Press the ON/OFF key. Upon successful startup, all indicators on the panel will light up for a few seconds.
Load detergent into the dispenser as recommended. Compartment A is for the main sink, compartment B for the additional one. If you are using tablets and the instructions say to use 2, place one in compartment A and the other on the bottom of the PMM.
Load the dishes into the baskets.
Find the selector wheel labeled PROGRAM SELECTION. Turn it until the pointer on the handle points to the mode you want. After selecting a program, the light next to the START/PAUSE button should flash.
If you want to use additional features, select them at this stage.
To start the cycle, click the Start button.
When the program completes, you will see the END indicator light up. Do not rush to unload the PMM immediately, otherwise the dishes will not have time to cool down, and you risk getting burns. First, turn off the machine by pressing the ON/OFF key, turn off the water tap and unplug the plug from the socket.

Important! Some models, in order to save energy, are programmed to automatically turn off when left idle for a long time.

If suddenly you make a mistake with the program, you can change it if no more than a few seconds have passed since the start (the PMM did not have time to remove the product from the dispenser). Turn off the machine by holding the ON/OFF key for a long time, and then turn it on in the same way and repeat the starting procedure by selecting the correct mode.

In addition, Indesit machines allow users to reload dishes into the PMM. To do this, you need to interrupt the cycle by pressing the PAUSE button, carefully open the door so as not to get burned by the steam, and then press the START button, and the cycle will continue. It will not be possible to change the program at this stage.
