Whirlpool dishwasher programs

Whirlpool dishwasher programsThe market offers a huge number of dishwashers under different brands. If you have become the owner of one of them, you can be congratulated. Now it will be much easier for you to cope with everyday life, and you will have free time. First of all, before using the equipment, you need to study the Whirlpool dishwasher modes and its capabilities. This will allow you to choose the best programs for a particular dish, achieving high quality washing.

Getting to know the modes

Let's look at washing programs using the WHIRLPOOL-WSIE-2B19-C dishwasher as an example. Most models of machines of this mari will have similar programs, the only difference will be in some additional functions. So, the following modes are programmed in this dishwasher:

  • ECO 50;
  • intensive washing;
  • regular program;
  • quick wash;
  • pre-wash.

In the description of the washing program, the manufacturer indicates the average duration of the program. The time will depend on many factors, so it is impossible to say exactly how long the regime will last. Depending on the conditions (water temperature, water pressure, load balance, detergent), the calculated time will be displayed.

The Eco program lasts on average 4 hours, while the water is heated to 50 degrees. In this mode, water and electricity are saved, which is subject to laboratory measurements according to European standards. Water consumption 11.5 liters, electricity 0.83 kW. Lightly soiled dishes can be washed in this mode.Whirlpool dishwasher icons

Intensive washing will take 2.5 hours when the water is heated to 65 degrees, which allows you to wash even the dirtiest dishes (baking sheets, pots, pans). Water consumption will be 15 liters, and electricity 1.5 kW.

Attention! None of the Whirlpool dishwasher programs provide pre-treatment of dishes.

The normal or standard program lasts 2 hours 25 minutes, the water is heated only to 55 degrees. Suitable for any dishes of varying degrees of soiling. It also consumes 15 liters of water and 1.35 kW of energy.

The quick wash mode will handle lightly soiled dishes in just 40 minutes, heating the water up to 50 degrees. Water consumption is half the usual 8 liters, and electricity consumption is 0.9 kW. Most often, this program is used to wash dishes without dried food, for example, after dinner.

As for pre-wash, this is not so much a program as an additional function to the program. The dishes are soaked in water for 10 minutes without using detergent. If dirty dishes are dry, it is better to use this function; the additional water consumption will be only 4 liters.

Tips for using Whirlpool PMM

A novice dishwasher user, in addition to the features of the modes, also needs to know the basic recommendations for use. The manufacturer describes them in detail in the instructions for the equipment. We are talking about the following rules:

  • remove leftover food and debris from plates before placing in baskets, pour out remaining liquids;
  • place the dishes so that they do not dangle, but are firmly fixed with holders;
  • Place plates with their bottoms towards the center of the basket, and glasses and mugs with their bottoms up. At an angle, water will drain better from the surface of objects;The dishwasher filter needs to be cleaned
  • check that boards, frying pans, and utensil handles do not interfere with the free rotation of the rocker arms;
  • Place larger and dirty dishes in the lower basket, and small items in the upper basket or cutlery basket, as the lower spray arm delivers a more powerful stream of water;
  • turn on a high-temperature program without dishes at least once a month in order to prevent the appearance of unpleasant odors, you can add 1 teaspoon of detergent;
  • wash only those glass or porcelain dishes for which the manufacturer gives permission for washing in PMM;

Please remember that some decorative designs, aluminum and silver elements, and crystal may darken after washing.

  • take out glass objects immediately after the program ends;
  • Do not wash prohibited utensils in the PMM (wooden utensils, fragile glasses, antique dishes, copper and tin utensils, as well as utensils that have contained ash, wax or ink).

Before using your Whirlpool dishwasher, take note of the above tips and then your “home assistant” will delight you with impeccable work.
