Ardo top loading washing machine programs

For aesthetics and convenience, companies try not to overload the washing machine’s control panel with long inscriptions with the names of work cycles and designations of special modes. Instead, the manufacturer places special pictograms or abbreviated names on the body of the “home assistant,” which are sometimes difficult to understand without detailed instructions at hand.

And if the main washing modes of the Ardo top-loading washing machine can be remembered fairly quickly, then the secondary options, which may be needed once a month or less, are remembered much less well. We will study in detail all the operating cycles of modern SMs from the Ardo brand, so that you can begin to understand them even without a user manual.

Main algorithms

First of all, we will study the main programs that are usually needed, if not every day, then at least once a week. The list will immediately be in Russian, so that there is no need to first translate the function and then describe it. There are quite a lot of algorithms.

• Cotton. Finding this classic mode is very easy - it is displayed on the dashboard with a cotton box icon. It can be used for everyday washing of cotton products that can withstand high water temperatures from 60 to 90 degrees Celsius. The program lasts from 145 to 170 minutes, so it is important that the clothes can be in the washing machine for such a long time and not become deformed.
• Synthetics. Another standard cycle, this time for things made from different synthetic materials. On the panel it looks like a flask icon. Processing of mixed fabrics lasts 127 minutes.
• Express 20.A special short mode necessary to simply refresh lightly soiled clothes at a relatively low temperature of 35 degrees. The duration is only 20 minutes.

The indicated cycle times are not exact, but approximate, since in addition to the initial data, it also depends on the user’s settings.

• Wool. Another function for a certain type of material. On the panel it looks like a sign with a ball of thread. The cycle has been certified by Woolwark, which means that the machine in this mode works with wool products as carefully as possible, preventing deformation and damage. The duration is fixed at 56 minutes.
• Handwash. Another program for careful care of products, this time for clothes made from delicate types of fabric, which have a sign on the tag that allows only hand washing. On the control panel, this cycle is marked with the sign of a hand placed in a basin. Duration is 100 minutes, and water heating is only 30 degrees Celsius.
• Quick wash. This option is recommended for mixed fabrics with a slight degree of soiling. Duration 35 minutes, temperature 35 degrees.
• Daily wash. Indicated on the panel by a T-shirt icon. Suitable for everyday laundry when you need to quickly wash a small amount of clothing using a minimum amount of water and electricity. Heating 40 degrees Celsius, duration from 30 minutes.
• Sportswear. The program is carried out at a temperature of 40 degrees, which allows it not to affect the shape of sportswear and shoes. After the cycle, sportswear and everyday clothes do not need to be ironed.
• Jeans.This function allows you to clean denim items so that they do not lose their color. Duration is 70 minutes.
• Shirts. A separate mode for processing shirts at a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius, which, with the help of an increased amount of water in the tank and a reduced spin speed, helps prevent the fabric from creasing. This will make the shirts easier to iron after washing.
• Hygiene. A special program for hygienic cleaning of things using the “Hygienic” development from the Ardo brand. The water heats up to 40 degrees; cleaning synthetic clothing, as well as white and colored linen, is acceptable.
• Spin. A separate cycle for starting the spin cycle, necessary in a situation where the initial spin cycle was not enough.

If necessary, the spin can be turned off, for example, to avoid damaging items made from delicate materials.

It’s unlikely that you’ll be able to remember all the main work cycles right away, because there really are a lot of them. But this is rather a plus, because with their help you can wash almost all the laundry in the house.

Auxiliary modes

Finally, all that remains is to look at the additional functions that not every washing machine has. Basically, the listed programs can be run as an addition to the main mode, but some of them can work as a separate cycle. What algorithms are we talking about?

• Additional rinse. This feature makes it much more efficient to remove detergent residue from clothing fibers.
• Delayed start. Option to delay the start of the wash by several hours, up to 16 hours. Suitable for situations where you need to wash things before waking up in the morning, to hang your laundry in the morning, or if clothes need to be cleaned before returning home from work.
• Pre-turbo wash. This program allows you to clean heavily soiled clothes with an additional washing step in addition to the main wash step. Takes place at a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius.
• Automatic cleaning. A special short cycle for cleaning mold and mildew, which over time can appear on the rubber seal of the hatch, as well as in other places that are difficult for a housewife to reach.
• Simple ironing. Launching this function activates a gentle spin mode at a speed of only 500 rpm. Low spin and gentle rocking of the drum make it easier to iron things after washing.
• Drying. Usually activated automatically after selecting the Cotton or Synthetic programs, but it can also be activated manually. Allows you to dry clothes efficiently.

You can live without the listed programs, so don’t be upset if they are not in your “home assistant”. But if your equipment has the listed functions, then do not forget to use them to make washing easier and significantly improve.
