To enable self-cleaning mode, you must:
- remove everything unnecessary from the drum - there should be no things left in it;
- pour powder into the detergent dispenser (in the main wash compartment);
- turn the programmer to the “Cotton 95°C” position;
- press the “Self-cleaning” button and hold it for 5 seconds;
- start the cycle by pressing the “Start” key.
After this, the “home assistant” will begin self-cleaning. The program lasts a little over an hour and a half. When the cycle is completed, you need to pull out the detergent cuvette all the way and open the machine hatch for ventilation. The machine must dry out from the inside.
Regular modes

- Handwash. The delicate program is designed for cleaning delicate, demanding fabrics. In this mode you can wash linen and wool items, silk, viscose, and curtains. Due to the smooth rotation of the drum, things are not deformed. The cycle temperature is adjustable from 20°C to 40°C. You can load 2-3 kg of laundry into a full-size machine, and a maximum of 1.5 kg into a narrow machine.
- Wool. Another gentle mode for woolen items and products made from a mixture of wool and other fibers. Suitable for washing sweaters, snoods and hats. The water is heated to a maximum of 40°C, the spin is minimal. In full-size washing machines, when choosing a program, you can load up to 2 kg of laundry, in narrow ones - 1 kg.
In addition to standard programs, the Gorenje washing machine has additional modes for special occasions. For example, when you need to refresh things as quickly as possible or treat fabric from allergens.
Special programs
Depending on the situation, standard cleaning modes may not be suitable.Therefore, Gorenje washing machines have additional washing programs for special occasions. Let's look at their purpose.
- Quick wash 17. By starting the program, you can refresh your laundry in just 17 minutes. Suitable for lightly soiled items, it helps housewives save not only time, but also energy. The water warms up to 30°C, the drum should be loaded incompletely. For full-size cars – 2 kg, for narrow cars – 1.5 kg.
- Super black. Washing in this mode allows you to maintain the brightness of black items. The program is characterized by a slow spin and smooth rotation of the drum. Water temperature – 30°C. You can load no more than 2-2.5 kg of clothes into the machine.
- Quiet wash. You can run the program even at night. Suitable for cleaning mixed fabrics of different colors. The water warms up to 40°C. Maximum load: for full-size machines – 3.5 kg, for narrow ones – up to 3 kg.
- Against dust mites. The mode is ideal for washing pillows, blankets and other bedding and bulky items. Helps remove dead skin from fabric fibers. The water temperature is adjustable from 60°C to 95°C. Loading no more than 3.5 kg in standard machines, up to 3 kg in narrow units.
- Baby clothes. Suitable for caring for the things of babies and people with allergies. A special feature of the program is several rinsing cycles. Water heating can be adjusted from 40 to 95°C. Full loading allowed as permitted by manufacturer.
- Sport. Designed for washing sports uniforms made from different fabrics: cotton, synthetics, microfibers. The spin is performed at minimum speed, the water is heated to 30°C. Maximum permissible drum loading: for machines of standard dimensions – 2.5 kg, for narrow equipment – 2 kg.
- Anti-allergy. The program was designed specifically for washing clothes that require special care.Due to high temperature treatment (up to 95°C), all germs are removed from the fabric, and several rinsing cycles help wash the powder out of the fibers. The permissible drum load coincides with the maximum.
Almost all Gorenje washing machine modes can be adjusted by changing the water heating temperature, spin intensity and the number of rinse cycles.

- EcoCare. Here the main emphasis is on economical consumption of electricity. By starting the mode, you can ensure that the machine “eats” 60% less kilowatts.
- TimeCare. Suitable if things need to be washed quickly. By running the option, you can reduce the cycle time by 40%. Intensive washing is effective only for lightly soiled items. With this program, there is an increased water consumption.
- AllergyCare. Due to several rinsing cycles and increased water consumption, complete removal of detergent residues from fabric fibers is achieved. By launching the option, you can forget about allergies to the powder.
