Resetting the program on the Candy washing machine

Sometimes, after starting the wash, the housewife simply needs to reset the program on the Candy washing machine. This may be necessary for various reasons: the wrong mode has been selected, valuables are forgotten in the pockets of clothes, or you need to reload laundry into the drum. Sometimes the equipment itself “freezes” in the middle of the cycle and does not want to work further. Let's figure out how to reset the settings without harming the electronics.

Correct stop of washing

If the machine freezes during the washing process and stops responding to commands, you will need to reset the system settings. In this case, you can try to cancel the program by turning off the washing machine from the start button. If this does not help, you will have to reboot the equipment.

You can correctly complete the washing cycle by pressing the “Start” button for 4 seconds.

At the same time, the indication on the control panel will “blink” - the green lights will light up, then the LEDs will go out. At this point the cycle should stop. But older Kandy models may need to turn the program selector knob to the neutral position.

If everything went well, the washing machine will “quiet”. The LEDs will turn on and off. But a safe reset may not occur. This means that there is some kind of breakdown, and the system notifies you of the error. You will have to reboot. The algorithm of actions will be as follows:

• move the programmer to the first position;
• hold down the “Start” key for 5 seconds;
  
• unplug the power cord of the machine from the outlet;
• wait 5-10 minutes;
• connect the washing machine to the power supply;
• try starting the desired program again.

If the Candy washing machine freezes during operation, try to cancel the program in the most gentle way. If you simply abruptly disconnect the automatic machine from the power supply, there is a high risk of damage to the main control module. Therefore, it is better not to do this.

What if there is water in the tank?

Restarting the machine, or even worse, abruptly unplugging the cord from the outlet, should only be done in extreme cases. If the washing machine is working properly, but you remember that you forgot your phone, wallet, alarm key fob or other valuables in your pocket, you need to quickly stop the cycle, drain the water from the tank and open the hatch.

The faster you complete all the steps, the greater the chances of pulling a whole thing out of the drum. Soapy water heated to 45°C or higher can ruin microchips and damage microcircuits.

To cancel a program and gain access to the drum:

• press the “Start/Pause” button;
• move the mode switch knob to the neutral position;
• activate the “Drain without spin” program;
• resume the cycle.

This will stop the main wash cycle. The machine, following the given command, will simply drain the water from the tank and complete the cycle. All you have to do is wait for the hatch to unlock and take the forgotten item out of your pockets.

If the drain does not start, you can emergency “empty” the machine through a garbage filter. It is located in the lower corner of the case behind a special small door. It is necessary to prepare a shallow and spacious basin and cover the floor around the machine with rags. Place a container under the housing, and then carefully unscrew the filter plug. Up to 10-12 liters of water can drain from the machine, you need to take this into account.

Resetting a program on an automatic machine follows certain rules. Do not immediately resort to an emergency reboot or pull out the cord from the outlet. To begin with, more gentle methods are chosen. And only if they do not help, it is advisable to use “heavy artillery.”
