cover the floor around the washing machine with dry rags;
place a low container under the body of the machine, in the area where the garbage filter is located;
Unscrew the drain filter, collect the flowing water into a basin;
inspect the element, shine a flashlight into the hole formed after its removal. Having found a stuck object, remove it from the car;
clean the garbage filter and screw it into place;
inspect the drain hose, feel the corrugation for blockages;
tilt the washing machine towards the wall and check if the drain pipe (connecting the pump to the tank) is clogged;

Typically, systematic overload of the washing machine leads to breakdown of the tachogenerator. That is why you need to put exactly as much laundry into the drum as allowed by the instructions. It happens that due to increased vibration of the housing, the contacts of the Hall sensor come loose or its fastenings become loose. In such a situation, you can correct the wiring yourself and tighten the clamps. The problem will be solved. you need to check the engine tachometer

To inspect and correct the tachogenerator, you will have to remove the engine from the housing. Then you should check and, if necessary, clean the sensor contacts and tighten its fastenings. Perhaps the sensor itself has failed. You can check this with a multimeter. If the failure is confirmed, you will have to buy and install a new tachogenerator.

All attention to the engine

Another common reason why the Hansa washing machine does not spin clothes is wear on the brushes of the commutator motor. In such a situation, the motor cannot accelerate the drum to the required speed, and things remain wet. To inspect the brushes, you will have to remove the motor. For this:

turn off the power to the machine;
remove the back wall of the case;
remove the drive belt from the drum pulley and engine;
unscrew the bolts holding the engine in the housing;
pull out the motor.

Electric brushes are located on the sides of the commutator. Take out the graphite rods and check if they are worn out. If the wear is significant, parts will have to be replaced.

It is important to replace electric brushes in pairs, even if one of them is intact.

It is also worth checking the stator and rotor windings of the motor with a multimeter. If you find signs of a breakdown or short circuit, you will have to replace the electric motor.

More severe situations

Sometimes the breakdown can be more serious. If you are convinced that the problem is not the selected mode, imbalance, clogged drain system, or problems with the engine and tachometer, the main control module has probably failed. There is no point in trying to repair the board yourself without the necessary knowledge; you can cause even more damage to the equipment. It is better to invite a specialist to diagnose and repair the electronic unit.

It happens that the machine still spins the laundry, but at the same time it makes a loud knock. This is usually a sign that a foreign object has entered the space between the tank and the drum. In such a situation, you should remove the heating element and remove the things stuck inside the “centrifuge” through the hole. When the washer hums and creaks during the spin cycle, you should check the bearing assembly.
