Washing insoles in a washing machine

washing insoles in SMIt is necessary to periodically carry out hygiene procedures for shoes, including washing the insoles in the washing machine. You can do this manually, but when you are preparing to put away out-of-season shoes on the mezzanine, there may be a dozen pairs accumulated for washing. How to properly wash insoles at home and what products to use?

Is it possible to use an automatic machine?

Before putting insoles in the washing machine, read the manufacturer's recommendations on the label of your sneakers or other shoes. As a rule, housewives do not experience any problems with washing insoles at home. The first step is to inspect them for delamination and other damage. If the insoles are well stitched, nothing will happen to them.

Important! Use special products designed for delicate washing, they will help not damage the insoles.

The most difficult thing to wash are orthopedic insoles. It is very important not to damage their integrity, because they consist of complex elements that correct the foot. They definitely should not be put in the washing machine and even hand washed with extreme caution. The antibacterial impregnation may be damaged or orthopedic parts may be damaged.

Considering the high cost of such insoles, it is better to strictly follow the manufacturer’s recommendations. If it is forbidden to wash them, then you should not do this; it is better to use dry cleaning methods. After all, improper washing at home will lead to loss of functionality. The only exception may be insoles removed from orthopedic sneakers. They are soft and durable enough to withstand washing in the washing machine.

You should not rely on the strength of the insoles; it is better to always choose a program for delicate washing. It involves the use of low temperatures and minimal spin speeds. What other washing machine mode options can I use?insoles

  • A large amount of water is used. Thus, the structure of the shoe insoles is not damaged.
  • The temperature should not be higher than 30 degrees. It is allowed to set washing programs with water heating up to 40 degrees, but not higher than this.
  • For insoles from sneakers and other shoes, choose only the fastest washing modes. The less time they are exposed to water, the lower the risk of deformation.
  • Delicate washing programs feature gentle and smooth rotation of the drum. Thanks to this, the insoles will not be damaged.
  • The speed must be set to a minimum - no more than 400. You can even disable this stage of washing.
  • If your washing machine has drying and ironing modes, they should not be used either.

Each washing machine manufacturer provides different delicate mode options. The “pen” symbol will help you find the one you need; it indicates a mode for soft processing of things. Any other option with a short duration and the ability to set it to 30 degrees will do - you can find it by the icon of the pelvis with that temperature. If you don’t have any of the programs listed, run a quick wash in cold water and without spinning.
