“Drying prohibited” sign

Sign Do not dryOnce upon a time, drying things took whole days and brought a huge number of inconveniences, especially in winter. Today, almost every washing machine has an additional drying function, which greatly simplifies the life of housewives. However, not every item can be dried in this way, as indicated by the “Do not tumble dry” icon on the label. How can one recognize this prohibitory sign when there are so many incomprehensible designations on modern labels that are as similar to each other as two peas in a pod?

Designation not allowing drying

One of the most important warning symbols on labels is the “Do Not Dry” sign because it can protect clothing from damage. This sign warns that drum drying is not possible in any drum-type washing or drying machine, even on the most gentle and economical programs. The prohibition is due to the fact that tumble drying dries clothes extremely quickly at fairly high temperatures, which can negatively affect and damage many types of fabric.

Always carefully study the labels on clothes, because they contain useful information on how to care for things so that they last as long as possible.

The “Drying is prohibited” sign is a square with a circle inside, crossed with two lines in a cross. It is quite easy to recognize precisely because of the strikethrough mark, which visually stands out on the label. Now you can recognize it among the many icons, which means you definitely won’t miss the ban and won’t damage your favorite items made of delicate fabric.Tumble drying is prohibited sign on the label
