Test mode of the Indesit washing machine

Test mode of the Indesit washing machineAll automatic washing machines have a test mode. Many users are not even aware of it, and have no idea why this option is needed. Let's figure out how to activate the test mode of the Indesit washing machine, what is the meaning of the add-on, and when you need to start it.

Purpose of this program

Modern washing machines are able to diagnose a breakdown that has occurred in the system and notify the user about it. Typically, the self-diagnosis program starts working automatically. If this does not happen, you need to enter test mode and manually enable checking of machine modules. The “service test” examines the operation of each machine component in turn and identifies a malfunction.

This procedure is not difficult to complete. Therefore, if the washing machine simply “freezes” during the program execution, and the equipment does not inform the user in any way about the breakdown, you should run the “Service test” option and try to find out the cause of the malfunction, so as not to call the technician again.

Activating the mode and an example of its operation

It is very convenient to use the test mode to identify a breakdown of the washing machine. It is much better to automatically check the elements of the machine than to disassemble it and inspect each part manually. A service test allows you to narrow the range of possible problems to a minimum. To enter diagnostic mode:service test activation

  • set the program switch knob to position 1, press the “ON” button;
  • move the selector to position 2, turn off the machine;
  • return the programmer to position 1, press the power key;
  • set the knob to position three, turn off the equipment;
  • turn the selector back to 1, press the start button;
  • set the switch to “Drain” and start test mode.

The pause between switching the programmer should not exceed 3 seconds.

After completing the service test, the SMA will display a fault code. Machines that do not have a display inform the user of an error by flashing the control panel display. It’s even easier for owners of machines with a display - the washing machine will display the designation on the screen. All that remains is to decipher the code in the user manual. It is so easy to understand what exactly went wrong in the system.

How is diagnosis done? The test mode involves a standard launch of the program, but without laundry, during which the operation of each piece of equipment is checked. When the test begins, the fill valve is activated and the tank is filled with water. Afterwards, the pressure switch records the liquid level and transmits a signal to the module about the need to stop dialing. Next, the heating element heats the water to the set temperature, and the engine begins to rotate the drum. Then the drain is turned on and the spin cycle begins at maximum speed. This way, intelligence will be able to identify at what stage of the wash the failure occurs and notify the user about it.
