Therefore, many users do not understand what to expect from this algorithm and rarely run it. Meanwhile, this function is quite effective and can significantly improve the quality of washing.

A brief description of the Stain Removal mode is in the user manual. The instructions tell you at what temperature the wash is performed, what fabrics the program is suitable for, and how long the cycle lasts. Washing machines of different brands have slightly different algorithm characteristics.

Thus, the “Stain removal” mode in an LG washing machine runs at 60°C by default. You can lower the degree to 30. In this program, the manufacturer allows you to wash mixed fabrics with cotton, warning that this algorithm is not for delicate materials.

The “Stain Removal” mode is designed specifically to effectively combat various types of stains.

So, the instructions for LG SMA say that this mode will help deal with stains from wine, cosmetics, juice, dirt and others. When starting this algorithm, the drum can only be loaded by 40% (for example, with a maximum allowable 8 kg, only 3 kg).

The “Stain removal” mode involves a pre-wash phase. You cannot disable this option - it is built into the intelligence by default.The spin is performed at maximum speed (speed adjustment is allowed). The cycle on LG machines lasts approximately 220 minutes.

In the instructions for the Samsung automatic machine, the “Stain Removal” mode is described more modestly. The manufacturer declares the maximum permissible load weight (this is 50% of the nominal value), water heating temperature (60°C) and spin speed (it will be maximum for the washing machine model).

Most additional functions can be connected to the “Stain Removal” algorithm in Samsung SMA:

How does the algorithm work in practice?

If your clothes have obvious stains from wine, blood, grass, juice, then you can safely test the program. This algorithm is specifically aimed at combating specific contaminants. The washing result will largely depend on the detergent used, so it is recommended to use high-quality household chemicals.

All the reviewed instructions for the CMA say that when you start the “Stain Removal” mode, you can use all compartments of the detergent dispenser. Washing powder or gel is required; if desired, you can add conditioner and stain remover.

The “Stain Removal” mode starts as standard:

• load things into the drum, evenly distributing them inside;
• close the hatch door tightly;
• pour the powder, pour fabric softener into the appropriate compartments;
• turn on the washing machine;
• press the “On” button;
• Use the programmer or buttons to select the “Stain removal” mode;
• if necessary, connect additional functions or adjust the basic cycle settings;
• activate the cycle.

When selecting the “Stain removal” mode, the powder must be poured into two compartments of the dispenser - for preliminary and main wash.

If necessary, you can adjust the default cycle parameters set by the machine. For example, reduce the spin speed or change the water heating temperature. You can also optionally activate auxiliary functions that are compatible with this mode, for example, “Easy ironing” or “Extra rinse”.

Pre-wash lasts about 45 minutes (on LG SMA). When finished, the machine drains the water and begins the main cycle. The drum rotates intensively - this is necessary for removing difficult stains.

Most of the time - about two hours - the main wash is carried out. After this, the machine drains the water from the drum, begins rinsing, then spinning. At the end of the cycle, the washer beeps.

According to reviews from housewives, this program really helps fight old stains. For such a long time, the machine removes even complex stains.Much depends on the powder, so you need to give preference to high-quality detergents.

But you shouldn’t throw delicate fabrics into the drum and start this mode. Such intensive washing and prolonged contact with soapy water can ruin things. The algorithm is only suitable for durable cotton and synthetic clothing.
