Modern household appliances are quite compact, which allows you to experiment with their placement to save space. Sometimes in small apartments it is not possible to install a machine in the bathroom, hallway or kitchen, and there is only one option left - install a washing machine in the toilet. How to put the machine in the toilet?

The second option is to combine the bathroom with the toilet by removing the entire wall or making a hole for the machine. But here it is necessary to legalize the redevelopment and make unscheduled repairs.
If the bathroom is too narrow, you can place the washing machine above the toilet. It's more complicated, but it saves a lot of space. But it is better to choose compact machines with a narrow body.It is also worth deciding on the installation option: in a niche, closet or on a shelf. An excellent solution would be a false panel behind which the washing machine is hidden.
Before installing the machine in the toilet, you need to pay attention to a number of recommendations:
choose a solid base that can withstand a load of 200 kg (it is better to use metal instead of wood);
place a piece of rubber under the equipment to reduce slipping and reduce the vibration emanating from the machine;
give preference to collapsible designs (there should be easy access to the back wall of the washing machine).
Finding a suitable place for the washing machine is only the first stage of installing the machine. The second step is to connect the equipment to communications: electricity, sewerage and water supply.
Organization of power supply
To connect the washing machine to the mains, you need to connect a separate outlet to the toilet. It is better to use a device with a moisture-resistant housing to ensure adequate protection against possible flooding of the room. The location for the future electrical point should be chosen in accordance with the standards: 50-70 cm from the floor and 60-90 cm from the risers.
In bathrooms it is allowed to use only waterproof sockets raised 50-70 cm from the floor.
For safety reasons, a separate machine is allocated for the new power line. Grounding is also provided. Otherwise, if there is a short circuit in the machine, current will leak to the housing, which can result in an electric shock.
What will the drain be like?
There will be no problems with connecting the sewer pipe - the toilet has a drain in any case. The main thing is to connect correctly to avoid gravity leakage and the appearance of an unpleasant odor.But first, choose one of four options for connecting the washing machine’s drain hose to the central sewer system:
installation of a separate plastic pipe with a diameter of 5 cm;
lowering the drain hose directly into the toilet;
installation in the gap of a tee comb with dimensions 5x5x5 cm;
using a siphon with an outlet under the sink (you will have to extend the drainage hose and lay it to the bathtub).
When connecting, it is important to raise the drainage hose of the washing machine 50-70 cm from the floor. If you lower the corrugation below the level of the bottom of the tank, the pressure in the pipe will be disrupted, and the water will spontaneously flow into the sewer. The second point concerns tightness: the junction with the common riser must be tightened with a clamp and treated with sealant. Otherwise, leaks and unpleasant odors may occur.
We supply the machine with water
A water pipe runs through each toilet, so there will be no problems connecting the washing machine to the central drain. It is enough to connect a standard inlet hose with a union nut with a straight pipe thread to the cold water riser. Generally, a ¾-inch cut is suitable.
Next, the crane is selected. There are two options:
ball - more reliable, triggers when the handle is turned 90 degrees;
screw - here the water is blocked by several turns of the “lamb”.
In addition to the type of tap, we also look at the length of its handle. It is recommended to choose designs with long handles: they are easier to open and close. Short protrusions are more difficult to catch on, which is inconvenient if the joint rusts and the latch jams.
Technique for moving the machine in the toilet

First of all, the washing machine is disconnected from communications;
