You can sell an old dishwasher to partially return its cost and invest it in the purchase of new equipment, but in this case, the old household appliance must be removed very carefully so as not to break the fasteners or internal components of the unit.

Kitchen renovation.The last reason is also pleasant, but much less common than the first two, because for some people, a complete kitchen renovation with the replacement of kitchen units happens only once in a lifetime, and for some, never. In such conditions, you will have to carefully remove the built-in dishwasher, and all the furniture behind it.

Do-it-yourself work is much more profitable, first of all, in terms of finances, because a technician usually charges about $20 for dismantling. If after this the unit has to be checked or repaired, then the first board will be followed by the second and third. At the same time, you can save not only money, but also time, because service center specialists are rarely ready to arrive on the same day and hour, so the visit may last for several days or weeks. PMM dismantling progress

So, you are mentally ready to get the machine with your own hands, which means that all that remains is to prepare screwdrivers and keys. To do this, study the dishwasher fasteners and prepare tools of the appropriate size. If everything is ready for work, then we begin.

Disconnect the equipment from the electrical outlet.
Close the shut-off valve of the machine.
Carefully remove all the bolts from the bottom panel of the machine.
Disconnect the filler hose by first unscrewing the nut holding the hose.

At this stage, it is better to have a basin on hand to catch any water that may leak out during the dismantling process.

Now remove the fasteners from the junction box to gain access to the cover.
Be sure to take a photo of the correct wiring connection before disconnecting all the wires.
Remove the fasteners, remove the bolt from the bracket so that you can pull out the cable.
Using a screwdriver, loosen the O-ring and pull out the cable itself.
Move to the kitchen sink where you need to locate the drain where your drain hose is connected.
It is necessary to loosen the retaining clamps, remove the sleeve and pull it through the kitchen cabinet.
Open the hopper door slightly to unscrew the fasteners of the machine body to the kitchen cabinet.
Pay attention to the PMM legs, which could have been screwed on for additional fixation.
Having freed the legs, carefully pull the “home assistant” towards you to remove it from the niche.

If you use a fully built-in dishwasher with a hinged door, you will also have to additionally remove the front by unscrewing the screws around the perimeter of the door from the inside of the washing chamber.
