Daewoo washing machine shows error E9

Daewoo washing machine shows error E9Modern Daewoo washing machines are able to independently detect and determine the problem due to the built-in self-diagnosis system. The machine notices a breakdown and informs the user about it through the display - a code combination is displayed on the screen. All that remains is to open the instructions and decipher the “message”. Often the machine “pleases” the user with error E9, which indicates a malfunction of the pressure switch. You will have to check the level sensor and, if necessary, clean or replace it.

Is the level sensor really broken?

According to the instructions, error E9 displayed on the display indicates problems with the pressure switch. But in reality this is not always the case - Daewoo washing machines are equipped with fairly reliable and high-quality level sensors. Such devices rarely break down, and more often than not, trouble occurs with their contacts. The pressure switch contacts on Daewoo, as on many modern washing machines, are made of sensitive metal and oxidize during prolonged use of the machine in conditions of high humidity. As a result, the sensor loses connection with the board and the system displays error E9.

Error code E9 on Daewoo machines indicates problems with the level sensor!

It is better to first check the version with oxidized contacts. The instructions on what to do are as follows:

  • remove the top cover from the machine body;
  • find the pressure switch - a plastic “box” near the right wall;find the pressure switch under the top cover
  • loosen the clamp securing the tube;
  • disconnect the chip with the wiring;
  • remove the sensor from its seat;
  • Clean the contacts with a sharp blade.clean oxidized contacts

If stripping did not help or the contacts were clean from the very beginning, then the Daewoo washing machine issues code E9 due to a broken pressure switch. In this case, you will have to continue the diagnosis by thoroughly inspecting the sensor and testing it.

We carefully check the detail

Diagnosis of the pressure switch begins with an inspection. Sometimes the causes of sensor malfunction lie in its tube: it becomes clogged or damaged, and the device stops responding to pressure. In this case, it is easy to notice the breakdown - cracks and dust in the hose will tell you about it.

If everything is in order outwardly, then we proceed to checking the pressure of the sensor. We take a tube commensurate with the fitting, apply it to the pressure switch and blow lightly. Did you hear a few clicks? Then the contacts close, the device is operational. "Silence" means the relay is broken and needs to be replaced.

The pressure switch fails due to blockage, damage or natural wear.

The next stage is testing with a multimeter. We proceed like this:

  • understand the electrical circuit of the pressure switch;
  • we mark which contacts the tester can be connected to;
  • turn on the multimeter to “Ohmmeter”;checking the pressure switch with a multimeter
  • apply the probes;
  • blow into the tube;
  • We evaluate the value on the scoreboard.

Normally, “blowing” the pressure switch should change the initial readings on the multimeter. If the value remains the same, then the sensor is broken. It cannot be repaired - only replaced with a new one.

Let's change the pressure switch

More often, error E9 can be reset in only one way - by replacing the pressure switch. It is not possible to repair the sensor, and it is not recommended: it is easier and cheaper to purchase a new one. Its cost varies within 1000 rubles. The main thing is to focus on the Daewoo serial number when purchasing. It is not necessary to call a specialist to replace the sensor.You can carry out the repair yourself using the following instructions:

  • disconnect the machine from communications;
  • find the pressure switch and disconnect the wires connected to it;
  • loosen the retaining fasteners and clamps;

Before dismantling the pressure switch, take a photo of its initial position so as not to make a mistake when reconnecting the wiring!

  • remove the faulty sensor;
  • install a new pressure switch in the “socket”;Pressostat for Daewoo car
  • secure the relay with screws and clamps;
  • connect the wiring.

After replacement, we put the machine back together and run a test wash. We turn on any quick program and wait for the water to fill. If the drum is full, the cycle has started and error E9 does not appear on the display, then everything is done correctly. If the error recurs after installing a new pressure switch, it means that the problem could not be corrected. Perhaps the problem is in the electronics - there was a failure on the control board. In this case, it is better to refuse independent diagnostics and repairs and contact a service center.

    If you changed the brushes on the engine, you need to grind them in. The error appears when the speed increases. We rub the brush with sandpaper and everything is plowed :)

    Thanks Bro.
    You just can’t imagine how much you helped out.
    I never would have guessed it.
    Without removing the engine, I just ran the spin mode 20 times and they got used to it.
    At first the error immediately popped up, then at 7,6,5, etc. minute and soon everything got better.
