Error code F3 in Gorenje washing machine

Error code F3 in Gorenje washing machineAutomatic washing machines are equipped with a useful function - the ability to diagnose a malfunction that has arisen in the system. If the washer detects a breakdown, it will display an error code on the display. In some cases, restarting the “home assistant” will help solve the problem, but more often than not, repairing the equipment is still necessary.

What does the F3 error that suddenly appears on the screen mean? The code indicates that there is insufficient water in the washing machine tank. A shortage of liquid may occur due to the lack of it in the house communications, a clogged filter on the water intake valve, or due to the failure of the CEN itself (the liquid intake valve). Let's figure out what to do in such a situation, how to return the machine to its previous performance.

Water supply is difficult or absent

If you find an error code on the display, do not panic; in most cases, you can fix the problem yourself. First of all, make sure that the water supply is functioning, in case the water in your house is simply turned off. If everything is in order with the utilities, check the tee valve; perhaps the liquid supply to the machine is simply shut off. If everything is fine with the water outlet, you need to inspect the filter mesh located on the inlet valve for blockages.

To examine and, if necessary, clean the filter element yourself, perform the following steps:

  • Turn off the power to the washing machine, turn off the water supply valve to the machine;
  • disconnect the machine’s inlet hose from the body, thereby providing yourself with free access to the mesh filter.Be careful, residual water may leak out of the hose, so be sure to use a dry cloth when unscrewing it;
  • remove the filter element from the structure: lightly squeeze the filter with pliers and gently pull it towards you;
  • clean the mesh; it is recommended to rinse it under warm running water;

how to remove and clean the mesh filter

  • if the contamination is severe, first soak the element for one hour in a special solution: pour 1 teaspoon of citric acid into a glass of warm water;
  • install the filter mesh in its original place, screwing the element in until it stops;
  • connect the water supply hose;
  • open the valve responsible for supplying water to the system, make sure that the connection point does not leak;
  • Plug the machine into the network and launch one of the special programs. If the unit draws water to the required level and finishes the selected washing mode, then the breakdown has been eliminated.

At the same time as washing the mesh, you can clean the inlet hose of the washing machine. It, of course, needs less frequent cleaning compared to the drain hose, but clean tap water still contains various impurities that will certainly settle in the cavity.

By installing water softening filters at the entrance to the automatic machine, you can improve the quality of the liquid entering the system and, as a result, reduce contamination of the washing machine elements.

If the fault cannot be eliminated, it is necessary to proceed to the next stage of work, namely, diagnosing and replacing the water intake solenoid valve.

Checking and replacing the intake valve

What needs to be checked next? Fault code F3 in a Gorenje washing machine may be caused by a failure of the solenoid valve.This device is located directly under the top cover of the washer near the wall of the housing. The element is connected to hoses used to supply water to the dispenser - a tray for detergents.

Having found the water intake valve, diagnose it using a special device - a multimeter. Switch the tester to the resistance determination mode, and alternately lean the probes of the device against the winding of the part. The operating valve should produce a resistance of 3 kOhm. If the indicator differs from the standard, the washing machine can only be repaired by replacing the element. So, in this case, the following steps will help deal with the F3 error:inlet valve on washing machine

  • Unscrew the bolts securing the valve to the machine;
  • take a photo of the wiring so that when installing a new part, you can connect it correctly;
  • disconnect the hoses;
  • remove the valve from the body;
  • install a new, serviceable element into the seat, secure the valve with bolts;
  • work with the wiring - all cables must be connected correctly;
  • connect the hoses to the appropriate connectors;
  • tighten the clamps;
  • Place the top cover of the machine body in place and secure it with self-tapping screws.

After the repair has been completed, the washing machine should operate normally. With the help of these recommendations, eliminating the F3 error will not be difficult.

    Hello. Help is needed. We are talking about the Gorenje WA614SYW washing machine.
    Such a problem. In operating mode, the machine displays error f3.Namely, the first time it takes in water normally, but the second time, already during rinsing, it starts to take in water and after a while error f3 appears.

    Depending on the situation, I can tell you what I have already done. Cleaned the inlet filter. Basically, I cleaned the entire machine, all the tubes, all the channels. I checked the working solenoid valve 3.8 com. I checked the pressure switch - everything is fine, and also blew out the tube that goes to the pressure switch. Water supply from public water supply, excellent pressure. Tell me, please, what else could be the problem?

    The local washing machine repairman was unable to help. The drain hose is located as it should be - 75 cm from the floor. Hose length is standard. I tried simply lowering it into the bucket no lower than 75 cm. No effect. Out of curiosity, I tried to disconnect the tube from the pressure switch and draw water without it (the pressure switch). After some time, error f3 appears. Despite the fact that there is not a drop of self-draining.

    Can someone help with this issue? What other options might there be?
