Why does my dishwasher squeak?

Sometimes users encounter a similar problem: after turning on, the dishwasher performs a quick test of all systems, but does not start executing the program, but makes a characteristic sound. Does a squeak always indicate a breakdown?

A continuous squeaking sound from your dishwasher may indicate:

• clogged garbage filter;

• activation of the leakage protection system;
• breakdown of the heating element;
• the need to flash the software;
• clogged pipes;

• lack of water in house communications.

If you turn off a stopcock on a pipe, make sure that the valve is in the correct position. Perhaps you simply forgot to turn on the water supply.

PMMs equipped with a display not only emit a squeak, but also display the corresponding error code on the screen.

To find out what kind of failure the washing machine is hinting at, you need to look at the instructions for the equipment. Each fault code is described there. By deciphering the error displayed on the PMM display, you can find out the cause of the unpleasant sound.

If you hear that the dishwasher beeps immediately after starting, you should first check:

• is there water in the pipes;
• whether the working chamber of the dishwasher is overloaded with excess dishes;

The door lock did not work

The dishwasher door is equipped with a lock. Information that it has been triggered is transmitted to the main control module. Only after making sure that the system is airtight does the “brain” start the cycle.

If the door is not locked, the machine will not start drawing water. The control module, realizing that the seal is broken, will interrupt the cycle. After a few minutes, the equipment will beep, notifying the user of a malfunction.
