About Smart Touch?

Using the Candy Smart Touch washing machine is very simple. It is enough to study the instructions for the device once to understand all the features of the new “home assistant”. Technology Smart Touch allows the user to interact with the SMA through a special application on the phone.

Kandy washing machines with Smart Touch technology have a built-in NFC sensor. Thanks to it, pairing of the device and a mobile device becomes possible. The phone must have a short-range communication (NFC) function, otherwise the ability to control the washing machine will be limited.

To connect to the machine via the NFC interface, you need to download the special Candy simply-Fi application to your smartphone.

The Candy simply-Fi application program is available for gadgets running on both the Android and iOS platforms. This can be not only a smartphone, but also a tablet. However, only owners of Android phones with the NFC function will be able to interact with the washing machine and take advantage of all the benefits of Smart Touch technology.

Using a smartphone with NFC technology on the Android platform, you can interact with the automatic machine and fill it with information.In other cases (if a tablet, iPhone or iPad is used), only writing data to the intelligence of the washing machine will be available.

When using the Candy simply-Fi software application, users will have access to the following functions:

• Voice assistant. The machine will help you choose the optimal cycle settings depending on the data entered by voice. The user can name the type of fabric, color of items and their level of contamination. After this, the intellect will suggest the appropriate washing mode.
• Selection of programs. Using your smartphone, you can select the desired mode and launch it. It will also be possible to load new washing algorithms into the intellect.
• My statistics. You will be able to see a summary report on your phone screen and receive advice on how to use your SMA more efficiently.
• Smart care. From your smartphone you can run check cycles and “Auto cleaning” of the machine. A troubleshooting guide will also be available to the user.

To connect the machine to your phone:

• download the special Candy simply-Fi application on your smartphone;
• go to the “Settings” menu on your phone and turn on the NFC function;
• to turn on the sensor on the dashboard, set the programmer to the Smart Touch position;
• Log in to the application, create a user profile and provide all the requested information (device type, washing machine serial number, etc.).

After this, the washing machine will “connect” to the smartphone. The next time there is a need to control an automatic machine through an application, it will be enough:

• enable Smart Touch mode on the SMA control panel;
• Log in to the Candy simply-Fi application.

If you want to start washing, then:

• load things into the drum;
• add detergent to the cuvette;
• close the hatch door tightly;
• select the desired mode in the application;
• follow the instructions on the phone display while holding it on the Smart Touch logo on the washer dashboard.

The smartphone must be positioned in such a way that the NFC antenna on its rear surface corresponds to the position of the Smart Touch logo on the SMA device.

For successful data transfer, it is important to hold the smartphone at the logo for the time required to pair the devices. A message on the phone screen will inform you that the procedure has been successfully completed. Then the gadget can be removed.

Interaction with the Candy Smart Touch washing machine via the application is possible only at a short distance. You won’t be able to control the machine remotely, even from another room. The smartphone must be in close proximity to the SMA NFC sensor.

The software content of SMA Kandy varies depending on the model. A description of all washing modes recorded in the intelligence is in the operating instructions. Before starting the machine for the first time, you should carefully read the user manual. Let's figure out what algorithms are found on Candy washing machines from the Smart Touch line.

• Perfect 20°. This is an innovative algorithm that allows you to wash cotton, combined and synthetic fabrics at a temperature of 20°C with the same efficiency as at 40°C. Energy consumption in this program is two times lower than in normal washing. When starting the mode, it is recommended to load the machine no more than 2/3 of its maximum loading capacity.
• Intensive 40°. Program for the care of cotton fabrics. Washing is done at 40°C. Suitable for white and colored laundry.
• Hygienic 60°.The mode is designed to remove stubborn stains from cotton fabrics. The water warms up to 60°C.
• Perfect Rapid 59 min. A special algorithm that ensures high washing efficiency with a significant reduction in cycle time.
• Fast. The cycle duration can be 14, 30 or 44 minutes. (selected using the button). This algorithm is designed for small loads and not very dirty things. It is recommended to reduce the amount of detergent used so that it has time to rinse out of the fabric fibers. The water warms up to a maximum of 40°C.
• Hand/Silk. Program for washing delicate fabrics. The cycle is performed in cool water, heating degree – 30, spin speed is minimal.
• Wool. Algorithm for caring for wool fabrics. This program is performed without spinning, washing temperature is 30°C.
• Baby clothes. The program allows you to wash items with excellent quality and disinfecting effect at temperatures from 60 to 90°C.
• Synthetics. Algorithm for washing synthetic and mixed fabrics. Due to the gentle rotation of the drum, there are no wrinkles left on things. The water warms up to 60°C.
• Cotton. Standard cycle for washing natural cotton fabrics. By default, the water is heated to 60°C, and the spin is performed at maximum speed.
• Cotton + Pre-wash. Algorithm for very dirty laundry. The program helps remove stubborn stains from cotton fabrics. The cycle is performed at 75°C.

If necessary, the cycle settings can be adjusted (change the washing temperature, spin speed).

Most Candy Smart Touch washing machines are equipped with innovative technology for pre-mixing detergent and water. The high-pressure jet injects active particles directly onto clothing. Due to the function Mix Power System+ ensures rapid penetration of cleaning components into fabric fibers and removal of stains.

Also, the Mix Power System+ technology works during the rinsing phase, which ensures complete removal of powder granules or gel residues from the fabric fibers. This function will be especially useful for washing children's clothes and things of people prone to allergies.

The washing program is selected using a rotary switch. The selector is moved to the position corresponding to the desired algorithm. After this, the washing machine display shows the default cycle temperature (it can be adjusted using the corresponding button). Exceeding the maximum degree allowed by the intellect (for example, in the “Wool” mode – 30°C) is prohibited.

For some programs, you can adjust the duration and intensity of the wash using the “Soiling Level” button. This will allow you to achieve maximum results and the greatest resource savings.

If you want to control the machine via a smartphone, you need to set the programmer to the Smart Touch position. By default, this option is set to the “Auto Cleaning” cycle, designed to sanitize the CMA drum. This mode will help clean the inside of the machine and remove unpleasant odors. If you want to choose a different algorithm, please indicate this in the application.

It is necessary to select a washing mode based on the composition of the fabric and the intensity of contamination. You should not wash wool in hot water, and the “Delicate” program will not help remove stains from a white cotton T-shirt. Therefore, be sure to sort your laundry before loading it into the drum and run the algorithm that is suitable for a specific type of item.
