If you have a condensation dryer installed and the condensate container is not connected to the drain hose, you will need to manually empty the container after each cycle. Otherwise, the accumulated liquid will lead to the formation of bacteria, an unpleasant odor and will further disrupt the drying process of the laundry. After you remove the liquid, it is a good idea to rinse the tank itself. Proceed as follows:

remove the container collecting condensate;
get rid of the water accumulated in it;
rinse the container under running water;
Dry thoroughly and return to its original place.

This way you will ensure that it is clean and functioning properly. An equally important point is the fact that fabric fibers accumulate in every dryer over time. Wool, cotton and synthetic threads easily clog holes, fill air ducts, and accumulate under the drive belt and around other structural elements. To avoid this, it is important to regularly clean the air duct system and the special lint filter.It is recommended to do this manually as the vacuum cleaner may damage parts due to its suction power.

If the contamination is serious, rinse the filter under water and then dry it thoroughly before putting it back in place!

Cleaning the dryer is extremely simple: you can remove dirt from the body using ordinary soapy water and a soft cloth. The main thing is to remember to remove the solution after the procedure and then blot off any excess. Remember that you should not use aggressive household chemicals and melamine sponges as a “tool” to clean the unit, because in this case you will harm the enamel.

Keep the evaporator clean

The dryer evaporator needs to be cleaned about once a month, especially if you use the machine frequently. If the device works for you once every 4-5 days, you can increase this interval.

All this must be done because an element clogged with dust will not only prolong the time required for drying clothes, but will also lead to damage to the device. In addition, pollution often causes an unpleasant odor. To fix it, you will need: Cleaning the dryer coil

turn off the power to the dryer;
cover the floor around the device with rags in case water flows out of it when dismantling the element;
find the technical hatch door behind which the heat exchanger is located (the location will depend on the model of the machine, usually it is the bottom of the body, in the front);
open the door and turn the two locking levers towards each other;
remove the top cover of the heat exchanger;
pull out the element.

After all these manipulations, the heat exchanger is washed under running water and, if necessary, wiped with a napkin. It is prohibited to use brushes and sponges with an abrasive surface, as they can damage the parts. Do not forget to also pay attention to the heat exchanger seat and sealing rubber. There is no need to wait for the element to dry completely; just let the water drain. Then the part can be returned to its place, closed with a lid and the locking levers moved to their original position.

An unpleasant odor is coming from the dryer

If you happen to notice an unpleasant odor coming from your device, don’t worry. There is an effective way to get rid of this. The method will be especially effective if the device is thoroughly cleaned in advance. To do this, you will need to tidy up the fluff filter, rinse the drain hose and remove dust from the heat exchanger.

A solution of citric acid will help eliminate unpleasant odors in the dryer. You will need to take 100 grams of acid and pour it into a 200 ml glass. Then the container must be filled to the brim with boiling water. The solution is stirred and cooled at room temperature. Then moisten a clean napkin in the resulting solution and process: The dryer smells bad

filter seat;
heat exchanger installation area;
other internal surfaces that are in accessible proximity.

At the end of processing, wait until the unit is completely dry, then start the cycle by throwing a few things into the machine.
