Washing machine manufacturer ArdoWhen buying a washing machine, you need to find out in advance its “origin”: the manufacturer, the country of assembly, the location of the plant and the presence of subsidiaries. Otherwise, there is a high probability of acquiring a “pig in a poke.” We suggest you find out who the manufacturer of Ardo washing machines is, where they are assembled and for how long. Reviews from real customers will help you get to know the brand better.

Origin of Ardo machines

Now the Ardo brand belongs to the Italian corporation J.P. IndustriesS.p.A., which produces large household appliances. The origins date back to the 1960s, when this brand was owned by Antonio Merloni. The company was called AntonioMerloniS.p.A. and was engaged in the manufacture of gas cylinders. After some time, the corporation began producing freezers, refrigerators, dishwashers, dryers and washing machines.

Not only the assortment expanded, but also the number of trademarks - in addition to Ardo, other brands were also produced. The next stage of development was joining AntonioMerloniS.p.A. company Tecnogas S.p.A. Then, in 1995, electric and gas stoves were added to the product range.

The Ardo brand is owned by J.P. IndustriesS.p.A, and the machines are assembled in South Korea, Italy and Russia.

In the 2000s. AntonioMerloniS.p.A. The crisis hit: the sale of equipment, factories and brands to competing firms began. Thus, by 2011, the Ardo and SEPPELFRICKE brands, two factories in Italy, came under the ownership of the Italian J.P. IndustriesS.p.A. Since that time, the quality of washing machines has not declined, nor has their popularity or demand.

Equipment under the Ardo brand has proven itself to be reliable equipment with a long period of trouble-free operation. It is slightly inferior in quality to German washers and dryers, but still remains popular on the Russian market. The reason for the demand is excellent assembly and high washability. Especially when it comes to machines assembled in Italian factories.Ardo washing machine plant

Ardo build country matters. If we compare identical models of washing machines from Italy and Korea, the former will be many times better quality, despite the same price. Some cars are assembled at a Russian factory, however, such equipment is unpredictable in everyday life. It is not difficult to determine where the washing machine was assembled - just look at the factory markings. As a rule, it is glued to the back panel of the equipment. The statement that you can guess the country of origin using a barcode is erroneous: it only encrypts the “homeland” of the brand, and not the place where the model was assembled.

In general, all brand machines are attractive due to their budget cost and maintainability, and original replacement parts are inexpensive and easily accessible. The consumer will also be pleased with strict quality monitoring at each stage of production, as well as the final test in the “wash” mode. The procedure for treating units with kaphoresis before painting also adds strength, which increases the protection of internal and external parts from corrosion. As for tanks, there are two types of tanks on Ardo:

  • made of stainless steel (highly durable);
  • made of enameled steel (subject to high-temperature firing, which increases the moisture resistance and shelf life of the material).

The quality of Ardo brand washing machines is confirmed by relevant international certificates, including ISO 9001. The equipment is fully certified in Russia and deservedly bears the PCT mark of conformity. This company has been successfully operating on the Russian market for more than 10 years, and branded service centers are available throughout the country.

I bought a vertical washing machine Ardo TL 107 LW with a drum capacity of 7 kg and dimensions 40x60x90. I paid about $360 for it, which is a little expensive, but I didn’t regret it - it’s a “purebred” Italian, high-quality assembly. The machine is very convenient to use. The display shows the temperature, spin speed and remaining cycle time, and when selecting a program, the total washing duration.

The noise level is low and there is virtually no vibration during spinning. I haven’t been using it for long, but I can already point out a clear “minus” – the protruding fitting for connecting the inlet hose. Because of this “bump” on the back wall, it is impossible to move the equipment close to the wall, which looks unsightly. It's a shame, because moving this element a little to the side or adjusting its design is not difficult - it would be better.machine Ardo TL 107 LW

The Ardo TL 80 E washing machine was purchased back in 2017, but it still works without any complaints. Only one unpleasant nuance was noticed - you have to constantly clean the drum of powder. Also, white stains remain on clothes even after delicate washing and double rinsing. What this is connected with is never understood. The advantages include large capacity, many modes and excellent washing quality. I’m glad that with the fast program, the machine washes in less than an hour, but despite the speed, it perfectly removes heavy stains on clothes. The price at that time was good and corresponded to the functionality and power. I don’t know how it is now, most likely it’s much more expensive.

I’m sharing my impressions of the Ardo TL 80 E washing machine. We’ve had it for 15 years, it was bought by my mother. It is not clear by what criteria, but time has shown that the choice of brand and model was correct. I don’t know what production and where it was collected, the label has already faded. In 15 years, Ardo has let us down only once. This year the electric motor failed, a repairman was called and the motor was replaced with a new one. 9 months have passed since the replacement and it still works as before. I believe that after fifteen years of trouble-free operation, such a breakdown is not terrible.

Externally, the machine is ordinary, with vertical loading. The dimensions are standard - it fits easily in the kitchen. In terms of the number of modes, our Ardo is inferior to modern models, but there are enough of them, we use at most two. The controls are clear and convenient: I chose a mode, adjusted the volume of water to save money, set the temperature and that’s it – I forgot about washing for 1.5 hours. I always start the wash with the tank half-filled, because I don’t see the point in doing a full wash and wasting money. The equipment operates silently, vibration is heard only during the spin cycle, which is completely uncritical. It turns off by itself, three minutes after the end of the cycle I take out the laundry. Things are semi-dry, in the summer they dry in two hours.

Ardo can be cleaned without any tricks. After each wash, I leave the lid open to freely dry the drum and cuff. Periodically, once every six months, I carry out preventative cleaning. Sometimes “cleaning” is carried out once a year - the machine still works properly.
