Auto mode in a Bosch dishwasher

Auto mode in a Bosch dishwasherDishwashers from Bosch have many different modes in their arsenal. Some of them are found only on a couple of models, and some are permanent and built into each model. Among the latest is the Auto mode in the Bosch dishwasher. What is it and for what purposes is it used? Let's try to figure it out.

Characteristics of the Auto program and other algorithms

Finding the automatic mode on the dishwasher panel is very easy: it is always indicated either directly by the inscription Auto, or by a cup above the two rocker arms, or both.

The automatic program is good because it independently selects washing parameters based on the degree of soiling of the dishes and their quantity. The water temperature can be from 45 to 65 degrees, the cycle duration is also automatically regulated. How does program optimization work? Using special sensors inside the camera. What can be washed in this mode?

  • Frying pans, pots and other rough utensils for cooking along with cutlery. This mode copes well with heavily burnt or dried food residues containing protein and starch.
  • Mixed composition of dishes with light soiling: slightly dried ordinary table food scraps.

Attention! Dishwashers have many additional features, and the Auto mode supports them all.

In addition, Bosch dishwashers also have the following programs:Bosch PMM programs

  • Intensive washing. Indicated on all models as a saucepan above the rocker arm.Consists of 5 stages: pre-rinse, wash at 70 degrees, intermediate rinse, final rinse with hot water and drying. Supports all additional features. Great for heavily soiled cookware, including cookware with old stains and heavy food residue.
  • Eco-50 program. Indicated either by the inscription “eco” or as a glass and mug above the rocker. Consists of 5 stages: pre-rinse, wash at 50 degrees, intermediate rinse, final rinse at 50 degrees, drying. Suitable for washing mixed dishes with medium-heavy soiling. Supports all additional features.
  • Delicate program (glass/glass with glass). Designed for fragile and capricious dishes with virtually no contamination. Not all add-ons are supported. functions. The Express program (arrows to the right) is used for the same purposes. Supports additional drying only.

There is also a separate pre-rinse program, which is activated by the user based on his personal wishes.

Additional options PMM Bosch

In addition to the basic programs, Bosch machines are equipped with many additional functions that can be very useful to any housewife. Among them, the following are especially popular:

  • Delayed start. This option allows the user to independently select the start time of the cycle and, without waiting for it, go about their business. The start of the program can be postponed for a period of time from 1 to 24 hours.
  • Hygiene. If desired, it allows you to increase the duration of the last stage of the cycle and increase the temperature.
  • Vario Speed. Allows you to reduce cycle time by 34% without loss of quality. The operating principle is that both rocker arms operate simultaneously.

Important! This feature is only available on premium machines.

  • Half load. In order not to waste water, powder and electricity on an incompletely equipped PMM, you can use this function.half load PMM Bosch
  • Intensive washing zone. If it turns out that you have frying pans and baking sheets in the lower part, and glass wine glasses in the upper part, none of the existing programs will work: you will either break the dishes or they will not be washed well. This function will leave the basic mode in the upper chamber and activate the intensive wash in the lower one.
  • Shina & Dry. This feature is designed to add incredible shine to the glass. The duration of the rinse and the amount of rinse aid increase, which gives this effect.
  • Standby mode. This option gives you the right to add forgotten dishes to the basket if such a need suddenly arises. You just need to open the door slightly and wait until the PMM stops working. To resume it, close the door. Remember that it makes sense to add dishes only in the first stages of the cycle.

Modern Bosch models also have a visual and audio notification system when the wash is complete. Once the cycle is complete, begin unloading the chamber from the lower basket. Then, drops from the upper basket will not spoil the appearance of the dishes located below.
