Turning on the clothes dryer

Turning on the clothes dryerAlthough drying cabinets are a fairly new type of household appliance for our country, people are purchasing them more and more often. Unlike machines, they do not have a drum, and their design resembles an ordinary wardrobe. Many users have already appreciated their convenience.

The laundry inside the appliance is hung vertically or stacked on shelves. It can accommodate not only things, but also shoes, hats, and bedding. We'll tell you how to turn on a clothes drying cabinet. Let's figure out how to activate drying and how to care for such equipment.

Hanging wet laundry inside the closet

After purchasing the drying cabinet, you need to prepare it for use, namely, level it, connect it to ventilation (if required), and connect it to an outlet. Before the first start, be sure to read the instructions for the equipment. The user manual outlines the main recommendations and rules.

Inside the drying cabinet there are sections with hangers, shelves, as well as additional hooks on the inside of the door.

Each section of the drying cabinet has clothes rails. To make drying as effective as possible, follow the basic recommendations:

  • do not stack things on the top section;
  • hang long clothes closer to the side walls, short ones in the center;
  • if necessary, dry long items (dresses, down jackets, etc.), fold the lower sections of the closet;
  • dry gloves, hats and other accessories on special hooks located on the cabinet door;
  • do not hang clothes closely, be sure to leave space between the hangers;things inside the drying cabinet
  • if a certain item is prone to shedding, move other laundry away from it at a safe distance;
  • do not dry light and heavy items at the same time, since the duration of their drying is different;
  • do not put knitted items on hangers - during the drying process they may stretch, as they become very heavy when wet;
  • remove items from the closet as they dry - this will reduce the drying time for the remaining items of clothing.

There is one more important rule that must be followed. Do not overload the drying cabinet, otherwise things will wrinkle and dry unevenly. Leave space between the hangers, do not arrange clothes tightly.

The user also needs to monitor the ventilation duct. Dust and dirt accumulate around it, which must be removed periodically. Be sure to ensure that the air intake is always open.

What modes and functions are at our disposal?

The software “filling” depends on the model of the drying cabinet and its brand. A description of all modes is in the equipment instructions, so before putting the device into operation it is recommended to study the user manual.

Household cabinets for drying clothes have both manual and automatic modes.

When the automatic program starts, the process stops after the items are completely dry. Special sensors monitor this. During the last 10 minutes of the cycle, the heating turns off and the fan begins cooling the clothes.

When a manual program is activated, its duration is set by the user. The cooling period also begins 10 minutes before the end of the cycle. In this case, there is a risk of not drying or over-drying things.drying cabinet panel

If we talk about automatic modes, the most common ones are:

  • "Auth. 40°".Algorithm for drying medium-density items.
  • "Auth. 40° Extra dry.” It starts when multi-layered, thick clothes are loaded into the closet.
  • "Aut.60°". A mode for drying casual clothes made of cotton and other natural fabrics.

To understand which program to run, focus on things. To do this, read the information on the labels. Follow the drying temperature recommended by the clothing manufacturer.

If we talk about manual programs, then drying cabinets have modes:

  • "Manual" 30°". The user sets the drying duration himself. This algorithm is suitable for delicate fabrics that cannot withstand high temperatures.
  • "Manual" 40°". The cycle duration is also user-defined. The air inside the cabinet will be heated to 40 degrees.
  • "Manual" 60°". Drying temperature reaches 60 degrees. The program is suitable for caring for dense items that are not prone to deformation. The cycle time is set by the user.

If we talk about additional functions, then household drying cabinets are not rich in them. Some models have steam and child lock options. The dashboard is locked by pressing a combination of buttons, and a separate key is provided to activate the steam.

The user can adjust the intensity of steam treatment. This function helps to smooth things out and refresh clothes that have not been washed. This option is not available on all drying cabinets.

Drying cabinets differ in size, heater power, air flow speed, and software “filling”. Fan heaters can be installed at the bottom of the chamber, at the top, or placed outside the working area of the device. All these nuances should be paid attention to when selecting equipment.

Activating the drying process

After getting acquainted with the program “stuffing” of the drying cabinet, you can start drying things. To begin, hang your laundry inside, following the basic guidelines. Next, plug the power cord of the device into a power outlet and press the “ON” button. The unit display will light up.

For most drying cabinets, the display shows the program that was last run. For example, “Auth. 60°". If the mode is suitable now, then click the “OK” button. When you need to select another program, use the Up and Down arrows.activation of the oven program

This starts the automatic drying mode. When you need to enable a manual program, the algorithm of actions will be slightly different:

  • plug the power cord into the socket;
  • turn on the cabinet with the “On” button;
  • look at the display, the program that was executed last time will be displayed there;
  • Use the arrows to select the desired mode, for example, “Manual.” 30°.";
  • click "Ok";
  • set the drying time using the “Up” and “Down” arrows (the display will display a value, for example, 2:30);
  • start the cycle with the “Ok” button.

After this, the drying cabinet will start working. As things dry, remove them from the chamber. As soon as the program ends, take out the clothes; storing them in the device on a permanent basis is not recommended.

How to care for your closet?

The drying cabinet needs timely maintenance. Lint and other debris accumulate on the inner walls of the working chamber and need to be removed. Therefore, after each use, wipe the inside of the device with a cloth soaked in a mild soap solution.inside a clothes drying cabinet

Dust also constantly accumulates near the lower and upper air intakes. It should be cleaned as needed. Otherwise, this may result in damage to the drying cabinet.

The air intakes of the drying cabinet are cleaned with a vacuum cleaner approximately every six months.

It is very important to clean the air intakes from dust accumulating there. A blockage will disrupt the circulation in the system, which will lead to damage to the drying cabinet. Therefore, you should not neglect this rule.

Some models of drying cabinets have a container for collecting condensate. Periodically, the tank must be emptied and washed in warm water. A special indicator on the control panel indicates when the container is full.
